I went to Primark at the start of the week and I seemed to be embracing the whole it's September, it's Autumn feeling. However, this Primark store didn't seem to be quite over Summer yet. The shoe section was still full of sandals and there was still bikinis and shorts throughout the shop. I did manage to get a couple of new season, wardrobe update items but it's all tops.
I started off buying two of the £4 tops that are my holy grail. I showed these last month when I bought a black one and a coral one. This time I got a basic white one but also a khaki one which is a favourite shade for Autumn. I also wanted a cosy cardigan for the cooler days that don't really need a coat. This one was exactly what I wanted, though I'll probably wear it without the belt. It's a lovely cream beige shade, it's a super soft material and it was £13.
Another khaki item and this time something I'll probably be wearing for work. I'm back to work in October and the easiest thing to throw on in the morning, especially now I've got someone else to get ready too is black jeans and a blouse. This khaki blouse was only £7 which is a bit of a bargain. I sized up so that it'll be really comfortable too.
I'm looking forward to wearing pinafores and A-Line skirts again this Autumn/Winter, especially as I didn't get to last year while I was pregnant. These fine knit jumpers are perfect for underneath a pinafore or tucking into a skirt and they're only £6. I've got a couple of colours already but didn't have a grey one.
From Autumn shades to something a little brighter. You can't really beat £2 for a white T-shirt. This is the slouch fit style and I'll be wearing it tucked into Mom jeans or loose with a pair of skinny jeans. Last month I bought a navy blouse style T-shirt and I've ended up wearing it loads. It's actually smart enough for work but also looks casual with ripped jeans. When I spotted this coral blouse T-shirt I had to buy it. It's £6 and though it's not quite Autumn/Winter vibes it'll brighten up an outfit.
I wouldn't normally show this in my Primark hauls but I got a few bits for Ollie. Does anyone else find the range of baby boy clothes really disappointing compared to the girls' section? There was barely anything to choose from while the girls' section seemed packed full. I only managed to buy three things and two he can't even wear right now.
The first thing I bought him was a little shirt to wear to his Granny's 60th birthday party this weekend. It was £3.50 and there's not much point in spending more on their 'special occasion' clothes because he'll be lucky to wear this more than once. Next I had to buy the Toy Story T-shirt. It was £5.50 which isn't bad for Disney but the smallest size was 18-24 months so I bought it to store away until next year. The last thing was two pairs of chino shorts that were reduced from £5.50 to £3.
What a lovely haul! I think those colors are great for fall :)
