Favourites | Beauty & Lifestyle

It's been a few months since I've done a favourites post. I was using the same things all of the time and nothing was really standing out as something I was loving until recently. So these 5 favourites aren't strictly July or August favourites but they're the beauty and lifestyle things I've been using loads.

Before I get into these things my first favourite has 100% been my new Etsy Store. I started Oh So Printed nearly two months ago and I've been absolutely loving it. It's been great to get creative and I've had the chance to make lots of order, a few custom prints and probably most exciting of all some wedding invites. I'd love if you checked out my Etsy shop or followed it on Instagram. Now time for my beauty and lifestyle favourite...

My first favourite is pretty random and possibly something lots of people would rather not have in their house: scales. I've followed Slimming World from home since 2017 with the break last year when I was pregnant. Because I've never set foot in a Slimming World class I needed a good set of scales. Recently I noticed that each time I stood on the scales the weight was different... to the point when it gave me a stone loss within 60 seconds! Obviously I had to buy some new scales and I ended up buying the Renpho Bluetooth Smart Scales. They were £15, when I bought them, from Amazon. The scales connect to an app which is amazing for properly tracking weight loss but also includes details about body fat and muscle mass too. This has been a good motivator for me as there's no thinking, 'aw well that weigh in doesn't count'. It's also quite good to stop you weighing too often. These scales are really sleek so also look good in the corner of the bathroom. A very random favourite but I'd definitely recommend it.

My next favourite has appeared on my blog before. I've been using the So Natural Cosmetics Reusable Makeup Pads for months now and I love how good they are at removing my makeup. They've slotted perfectly into my skincare routine and I've never once forgotten to wash them or run out. I also love the money I've saved on buying disposable cotton pads, saving the planet one cotton pad at a time.

My next favourite is a pair of jeans. I'm typically a skinny jean wearer, in particular black high waisted jeans but in the middle of Summer I fancied something different. I went for a pair of Blue Ripped Tori Mom Jeans from New Look. I absolutely love them and have been wearing them loads. They look great with a pair of sandals but with the weather changing recently I've been wearing them with trainers. These jeans have made me want to try some more clothes that are slightly out of my comfort zone.

My last two favourites are both beauty products. I've not been wearing loads of makeup but I pretty much wear mascara every day. If I could wear eyelash extensions I would but unfortunately I seem to have an allergy to the glue so can't have them. When I saw the WunderExtensions Lash Extensions Stain Mascara I was extremely hopeful that this would help with my fair lashes in place of the Russian Volume lashes that I was rather have. This mascara is extremely expensive, however I used my Boots Points so ended up getting it for free. This mascara doesn't flake at all, it's so dark, makes my lashes look so long and lasts for ages. Not quite an extension alternative but it's a good option for me.

I'm sure most people have tried the Superdrug Layering Lab Body Sprays but I completely missed out on the hype until just last month. They were on offer for 2 for £6 and I bought Blossom and Exotic. Obviously Blossom was going to be my favourite because my all time favourite perfume is Alien and this is the perfect body spray to wear on a daily basis to still feel like I'm wearing the expensive scent. I've already used loads but because it's so cheap I don't mind spraying lots... and lots.
