Date Night Outfit | Wedding Anniversary

It was our 2nd wedding anniversary at the end of last month. We had a few days of celebrating, mostly centred around food. From afternoon tea, a Chinese takeaway with family and then steak night. It would have been lovely to go out for dinner but having our baby there with us was much nicer and we just weren't ready to venture to a restaurant yet, when we didn't really need to.

One of the nice things about going out for dinner (well in addition to not having to do the dishes) is getting dressed up for the occasion. 2020 definitely hasn't been the year of dresses so as we were nearly into the 8th month it was about time I got a little black dress on.
This dress is from Femme Luxe and it ticks lots of boxes for me - midi length, one sleeve and a little bit of sparkle. It's been sitting in my wardrobe for weeks now and there's not been a chance to wear it. I love that the glitter isn't loose so it doesn't fall off the dress and leave everything looking like a glitter ball. It's a flattering dress and very comfortable. I actually think that it'll be perfect for a Christmas night out too.

Because I've had it for a while it's not in stock anymore, unfortunately. Femme Luxe has loads of dresses though that are similar but with just slight changes, like glittery with a puff sleeve, plain with no sleeves or a mesh sleeve. I wore the dress with a pair of nude heels. They didn't last long, who needs heels in the house, they were quite quickly replaced with my lovely bow slippers.

I'd normally curl my hair for a 'night out' but because I've been wearing my hair curly loads recently and I've finally been to the hairdressers I straightened my hair. I also stuck on a pair of Eylure 100 lashes and used a bit of St Tropez Instant Tan for good measure.
