Outfit of the Night | Zoom Hen Party

One of my uni friends was due to get married this Summer and her hen party was planned for this month. Unfortunately like a lot of 2020 brides her big day has been postponed until next year and so too has the hen celebrations. Her bridesmaids threw her a surprise Zoom Not So Hen Party to lift her spirits and mark what should have been a day of cocktails. It was a fantastic night full of chat, quizzing, bingo and a few glasses of Prosecco.

We've been doing loads of Zoom Quiz Nights with our friends and family but this was the first occasion where getting dressed up like we were going out out felt necessary. To be honest I was tempted to wear a nice top and pyjama bottoms and just hope no one saw when I stood up. However in the end I took the opportunity to get all dressed up, even if I was just going as far as my dining room table.
My top is an old trusty one from New Look. It's a high neck, lace insert cami and although you can't get the same one anymore there's loads of similar one as it's quite a classic, simple going out top. River Island has a satin lace V neck while New Look has a JDY one with a lace trim.

I wore it with black leather look leggings* from Femme Luxe. I'm a little in between sizes at the moment so I've sized up and it was a good decision, they're slightly small made. Or maybe I've just had a few too many lockdown baking treats. These leggings would be amazing with a nice pair of heels but there was obviously no need so a pair of cosy grey slippers were the perfect pair of shoes for the night. I'd love to say these are Uggs but they're a cheap pair of memory foam ones from Primark.

I felt like I'd completely forgotten how to do my makeup and it was the first time I'd straightened my hair in weeks. I used lots of products that haven't had a look in for the past few weeks. My base makeup was the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation which is always a favourite in the Summer months. I used three different concealer products; L'Oreal Infallible Concealer Pomade in Peach for colour correcting then Light on top, and also Revolution Conceal and Define InfiniteOn my eyelashes I used Maybelline The Falsies Lash Lift on my upper lashes and L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic on my bottom lashes. I used Maybelline Tattoo Brow  Pomade for my eyebrows and Benefit Hoola Bronzer for contour. I've got So Moisturising Lip Balm and then MAC A Star In Your Name from a Christmas gift set.
