Does anyone else find that the weather changes and you suddenly think I don't know what to wear, I've got nothing in my wardrobe! That's obviously not true. My wardrobe and chest of drawers are both bursting with clothes and really I need a good sort out and declutter. Instead I want to get out and enjoy the sun so online shopping seems like a better option. Everything I've been clicking on is either for sunny days in the garden (and staycation holidays if we can hopefully go on one) and casual bits for about the house and while I've still got a bit of maternity leave left.
The first dress is actually something I'd probably pack for a night time abroad but with that unlikely to happen this year I'd just be happy to wear the Navy Floral Maxi Dress in my garden. Lets face it, even the days when Scotland does get glorious sunshine there's bound to be a cloud or two in the air so a maxi dress is a good outfit option.
One of my go-to trousers for the Summer are some black culottes and they're great for everything, whether it was work, going on a road trip or a day in the garden. They're still going strong after 3 years but I feel like I could do with ones that are a bit brighter. I'm not sure you can get brighter than these Pink and White Culottes. How girly.
A bit of white in the Summer is always recommended and it's not to be able to show of my non-existent tan! I love this Embroidered Scallop Trim Cami. It's one of those tops you can wear casually or a bit more dressed up. I'm just not sure I trust myself to spend this much on a top and not spill something down it!
I mentioned in my New Look haul that I'd bought a jumpsuit but it ended up being too big. I returned it and was going to buy it again in a smaller size but I've since seen the Black Crop Leg Jumpsuit and wonder if it's got the potential to be worn more often. A jumpsuit like this can be worn with bright plain or patterned accessories or any pair of sandals whereas the polka dots might be a little more limited.
Before lockdown I'd seen quite a few people talking about the basic bodysuits from Primark or Zara. Even though I was in Primark the weekend before lockdown I never managed to find any and I can't cope with the Zara website. I'd kind of forgotten all about them until I found the Black Racer Bodysuit on Pretty Little Thing. They've also got them in white and nude, I'm very tempted to get one of each.
One of the things I've really stuck to in lockdown is working out. I didn't have any sort of routine before lockdown that allowed me to fit in exercise as the days were full of baby classes, visits and just sussing out Mum life. Now I'm working out on average 3-4 times a week and I'm keen to get some nice new workout clothes to keep up the motivation. Boohoo actually has some really nice stuff and my favourite is the Ombre Workout Leggings. Most of my leggings are black so these would make a nice change.
In for the running of my most worn top in Lockdown is the Superdry sweatshirt that I bought in April. It's good for throwing on to go a walk in the evening or with jeans through the day if the weather isn't too great. It's comfortable, casual and simple. I don't really have many crew neck sweatshirts, more hoodies, and so I'm quite keen to get another. I really like the pink colour of the Pretty Little Thing Sweater, it's very me.
