Sale Haul | River Island & Superdrug

I've done my fair share of Boxing Day/January Sale shopping. I can't resist a bargain at the best of times and with the prospect of being able to fit into normal clothes again, planning ahead to some of the things coming up in the next few months and having a few "treat yourself" moments I've got quite a selection to share from River Island and Superdrug.

River Island
My first sale buy actually featured in my New Years Outfits post so was definitely something I would have considered buying full price. The Black Diamante Puff Sleeve Top is the perfect 'jeans and a nice top' top and looks even nicer in person. It was only £15 down from £32. I think I'll be wearing it for a girls night out but it'd also make a good option for the next festive season.

My next dressy purchase is a Black Playsuit from the Caroline Flack Range. I must admit I had no idea River Island had a Caroline Flack collaboration but there's actually some really nice things in it. This playsuit was £15 down from £47 so a really good saving. I think I'll wear this with tights in the colder months but also have it packed for our holiday to Portugal in August.
I love a blazer and have a couple in my wardrobe from River Island. They're always good quality and an option for all sorts of occasions. The Pink Stripe Blazer is so up my street and was only £20 down from £45. I'm loving the mix of colours and I can definitely see myself wearing it throughout the year.

If one pink item wasn't enough I bought some Bright Pink Tux Trousers. This was definitely my most out there purchase and I think they're probably something I'll wear in the Summer more than just now. They were £15 down from £36 and they're petite which is handy for being 5 foot 3".
My last clothing purchase was something a little more everyday. Being on maternity leave for the next while means I'm free to wear something casual everyday and I think jeans and a top is a likely option. It's nice to have something that's not just a plain coloured t-shirt and the Animal Print T-shirt is exactly that. It was £10 down from £20, I don't think I'd have bought it full price.

I bought two headbands from the accessories range, and River Island had loads of knot headbands in their sale. I chose the Black Diamante Knot Headband which was £4 down from £12 and also the Metallic Knot Headband which was £4 down from £10. I've been experimenting to see whether they're best with straight hair, curly hair or with my hair up.

I had a Superdrug gift card so I decided to splurge a little on something I know I'll use but maybe wouldn't spend so much on usually. I bought the Hairburst Gift Set for £49.99 on sale from £74.99. It contains Hairburst Shampoo and ConditionerHair Growth ElixirChewable Hair Vitamins and Helix Bands. Individually these products are quite expensive but they've all got one aim - to help me have healthy hair. I've read a fair bit about postpartum hair loss and I'm hoping Hairburst can help me avoid that.
