Sale Haul | Hollister & Quiz

I put my hands up, I was feeling a little bit spendy in the Boxing Day/January sales. I obviously had too much time on my hands and spent a lot of time browsing all my favourite shops. I've already shared what I got from River Island and Superdrug and now I've got my bargains from Hollister and Quiz

Hollister
My husband was buying some things from Hollister so I took advantage of the free delivery and bought two things from the sale. I don't buy from Hollister very often but if you're looking for some good quality casual clothes and often something with a bit of a girly twist then it's worth having a look.

My first purchase I would never have bought full price but when they were £6.99 down from £17 I could justify it. The Flannel Sleep Shorts are the softest, cosiest material and the perfect loungewear for moving into the Spring.

The next thing I bought is a mix between being casual and being slightly put together. The Open Back Long Sleeve Top in pink was £15 down from £25 and is a waffle-knit top with an open v back and lace trim. It's easy to throw on with a pair of jeans but still looks girly and effortless. I've already worn it loads.

Quiz
Quiz is one of my favourite places to look for occasion dresses and clothing items that are on trend, good quality and not too expensive. I feel like I always manage to get a couple of statement items or things that I'll wear over and over again.

My most worn boots just now are a pair of black ankle boots that are a faux suede sort of material. That's no use for getting out and about for walks with the pram if it's raining or snowing so I wanted a pair that would be a bit more suitable. The Black Faux Leather Ankle Boots are wide fit so handy if I need a pair of fluffy, cosy socks and are a bit more exciting than a plain pair of boots without being too over the top. They were £19.99 down from £32.

One of the things I missed being able to wear throughout my pregnancy was pinafores. From about 18 weeks the ones in my wardrobe no longer fit and now I'm ready to wear them all again. When I spotted a Black Denim Pinafore for £9.99 down from £29.99 I thought it would be a good one to add to my collection. Thankfully I sized up as it's quite structured and fitted. I quite like the zip up the front. It's definitely more suited for out and about rather than being for work or being casual.

I love a little floral dress. One you can wear for lunch with the girls or dress up a little for going out for dinner. The Mustard Floral Wrap Dress ticked lots of boxes and being £16.99 down from £26.99 was an added bonus. Unfortunately it's a lot more see-through than I was anticipating but I'm hopeful that a top underneath and tights will make it a bit more wearable.

Last year was without a doubt our year of weddings. We went to 6 full weddings throughout 2019 and a couple of evening receptions. This year we've only got one full wedding, which is abroad and I'm going to be a bridesmaid - dress sorted! We do know of one wedding dance that we'll be attending though and I thought it was worth having a look to see if there was any dresses suitable in the sale. The Gold Leopard Print Dress was one that I'd spotted back in November and when it was £19 down from £36.99 I couldn't resist.
