This year my husband and all of his friends turn 30 and the first one was just before New Years. We went to his surprise party and I thought it was a good chance to wear some of my favourite maternity clothes for one of the last times at nearly 39 weeks pregnant and also wear my new coat for the first time. Sometimes the simple outfits are the best...
If you're on the lookout for maternity clothing my absolute favourite place has been New Look. I've not bought loads, opting to just size up in lots of things instead but one of my best purchases has been my leather look trousers. These over the bump jeggings have been the perfect option for nights out or dressier occasions and don't leave me feeling frumpy. Being pregnant doesn't mean you can't be stylish. It's worth noting though, I've had to size down in these and all my maternity jeans.
You can't beat a plain black cami top and I bought a maternity one for maximum comfort in the last couple of months. This cami was only £6 and is from the George at Asda maternity range. The only thing that bugs me about this top is how badly it creases, it takes a lot of ironing for it to look good after being washed.
This coat is possibly the softest jacket that I own. The Waterfall Duster Long Coat is from Femme Luxe and is perfect for those nights out where you need a cosy layer but don't want to be wrapped up in your biggest Winter jacket. I love the look of the beige shade with an all black outfit but this coat comes in 8 different colours if you're after something that makes a bit more of a statement. I've got the size S-M which doesn't completely drown my 5'3" height. The coat has a belt but I prefer wearing duster coats open, no worries about accommodating my bump.
I curled my hair with the BaByliss Pro Large Wand and had a bit of a play about with some Benefit eyeshadows for a slightly smokey eye. If you've never tried Benefit's eyeshadows before then I'd definitely recommend them for easy to wear combos that last all night.
