Everyday Makeup Routine | Mum Look

I could probably count on one hand the number of times I've got myself ready sat at my dressing table since having my baby nearly 4 weeks ago. With that being said, a quick face of makeup does wonders for making me feel more awake and ready for my day so just because I'm now a Mum it doesn't mean my makeup stash has become redundant. Instead I've got my everyday makeup routine down to a tee. Rather than being stored away in my dressing table drawers in their different sections I've got my Mum look essentials in a makeup bag ready to apply in any room of the house whenever I get the chance.
If I only had time to put on one bit of makeup it'd definitely be concealer that I'd be prioritising. Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer has been my favourite for the past two years now. It's a creamy concealer that brightens up under my eyes helping to disguise any Mum tiredness. The coverage is really good I find I can apply a little bit more to even out my skin tone and not need any foundation if I'm really short of time or giving my skin a break. I use the applicator to dot the product across my face then use the Spectrum B08 brush from the Zodiac Collection. It's a buffing and blending brush that's a good size for blending in the concealer under my eyes.

The foundation in my makeup bag is an anti-fatigue foundation, is there anything more suitable when you've got a newborn baby? The Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation is great for making your skin look more healthy with a natural glow. It's got lots of vitamins in its ingredients list and leaves my dry skin looking fresher and more hydrated. I apply and buff in the lightweight foundation with one of my OG makeup brushes, the ELF Studio Powder brush. This is such an affordable makeup brush and although it's a powder brush it can be used with liquid products and helps achieve a good coverage.

From a healthy glow with the base, it's on to adding a little bit of colour to my face. I've got quite a fair skin tone anyway but if I'm tired I tend to look a little pale. Benefit Hoola Bronzer is my go-to bronzer and having a mini from a Christmas gift set is handy in my small makeup bag. Hoola is Benefit's number one selling bronzer and for good reason. It's a matte powder so a little dusting over my cheeks and forehead makes me look a little more sun kissed and 'alive'. I apply this with an application brush, the Spectrum A05 angled brush.

The last makeup product in my everyday makeup routine is mascara. I chop and change with mascaras quite often and right now it's the L'Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara that I'm using everyday. This mega volume mascara, with a little help from the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, leaves my eyelashes looking voluminous and lifted with a good curl lasting all day. The one thing that's not so good about this mascara is the fact that it doesn't come off very easily, but that does mean it doesn't flake or smudge throughout the day.
