What I Got For Christmas 2019

And just like that Christmas Day and Boxing Day are done and it's time to get back to some sort of normality. Every year I do a What I Got For Christmas post and this year is no different. I love having these to look back on and remember all the lovely things that were under my tree. Last year I shared my huge selection of pink presents and the year before had lots of lovely homey gifts. This year features lots of chocolates and beauty products as we celebrated our last Christmas before becoming parents, so here's to What I Got for Christmas 2019

For the past few years our Christmas presents have been made up of Secret Santas. Rather than buying a present for everyone in my side of the family and my husbands, or for each of my friends we use DrawNames in October and focus on one person. My husband and I normally set a really small budget and put our money towards something big like getting our new kitchen or a holiday to New York. This year with a baby on the way we bought a joint present and then focused on getting all the baby essentials.
I love getting a new Christmas tree decoration and this Personalised Mummy, Daddy and Baby one that I got in my works Secret Santa is my absolute favourite on the tree. Our first baby is due in January and I love being able to remember all life's changes each year when we put up our Christmas tree. We've got baubles from our first Christmas in our house, from our first as Mr and Mrs and then lots of the places around the world that we've visited.

The joint present that my husband and I bought is ultimate adulting, we got Hive Active Heating. We've been getting lots of Smart gadgets around our house from an Amazon Echo in three places, to smart bulbs and now we're making changes to the heating. This is something we've spoken about having for a while now and we took advantage of a Black Friday deal.

When I think of pamper products at Christmas time Soap and Glory is always at the top of my list. I was delighted to add the Soap and Glory Glam-azing Pamper Hamper to my stash. There's 5 different products inside and if I don't use it for some relaxation time before our baby arrives I'll certainly be needing the masks and patches to revitalise my skin as a new Mummy.

One of my Secret Santas had been on holiday recently and lucky for me that meant they did some of their shopping in Duty Free resulting in some MAC Christmas Gift Sets. I was so excited to open two on Christmas morning - Lucky Stars Lipstick Kit and Shining Moment Kit. I don't think I've ever had any of the MAC gift sets before but I'm so excited to have some mini lipsticks and new products to try. The packaging is so sparkly too, perfect for a magpie like me.

One of the most practical gifts that I received was a new Hydrate M8 water bottle. My current one is so old and tatty looking. I love how bright and cheery the yellow looks and the 'Smile More Worry Less' message is a good reminder to have. Most Christmases and birthdays would feature at least one bottle of Prosecco and obviously this year this wasn't an obvious option. I did however get an amazing smelling Prosecco Candle. I hadn't heard of DeKassa candles before but they smell gorgeous and make the perfect gift.

My husband and I were given a big hamper of treats including loads of chocolates, our yearly tradition of a Busy B calendar and some practical goodies like a cool bag. My two favourite things inside the hamper however, were TGI Pink Punk Mojito cocktails and Bath and Body Works Cranberry Peach Foaming Handwash. Obviously I won't be drinking the cocktail mix just yet but I'm looking forward to trying it in the New Year. Bath and Bodyworks have my favourite hand washes and having our house stocked up with them is amazing considering they're not that easy to come by!

The biggest surprise of Christmas was a present from one of my best friends with a big question on the inside - Would I be her Bridesmaid? She's getting married abroad in 2021 so inside the box was Sangria, a luggage tag, shot glass and sunglasses. She delivered this present to my Mum so I had no idea it was under the tree, what an amazing way to be asked!
