Can you believe two weeks today we'll be tucking into our turkey and getting ready for Gavin and Stacey coming on the TV at 8.30pm? Can you tell where my priorities lie?! Hopefully most of your Christmas shopping is done, most of mine is wrapped and under the tree it's just some of the smaller bits that I've got left to buy - the stocking fillers. I've put together a little Christmas Gift Guide for her with some ideas for whether you're putting together a stocking, still have a budget gift to buy or just want something else to put in a parcel.
Starting off with something that maybe won't quite fit inside a stocking but is guaranteed to add a bit of fun to your Christmas Day. There's nothing like a game between courses or after you've headed back for some Turkey sandwiches. Some of our favourites include Articulate, Logo and What Do You Meme? This year we've got one from Big Potato Games - 20 Second Showdown. This team game is packed full of quick fire challenges with some getting you moving, and others getting your brain into action.
From a game that can be used all year round whatever the socialising occasion, to something that can make an appearance every Christmas - a Personalised Christmas Bauble. I feel like I've had at least one new personalised bauble on my Christmas tree every year for the past 5 years, whether it's from moving house, getting engaged, getting married or to celebrate bump's first Christmas. This bauble is definitely one of my favourites on the tree and even better when it's from Etsy it's supporting a small business.
Onto some beauty products. I feel like it just wouldn't be my birthday or Christmas if there wasn't some makeup, skincare or haircare and I'm sure the same applies to lots of you too. Every year Boots always impresses me with their selection of Christmas gifts and this first stocking filler idea actually featured in my Boots Gift Guide. The CoLab Dry Shampoo Gift Set is one of those practical gifts with an added bit of glam. I must admit a shower cap isn't something I would ever think to buy myself but it's something I use regularly.
The next beauty stocking stuffer is for the glam girls getting ready for a night out, New Years Eve perhaps? The Ardell Faux Mink Eyelashes Gift Set is a good value gift set featuring three different styles of Ardell Faux Mink lashes which are high quality and look amazing on a night out. Considering each set of lashes can cost around £7 this stocking filler would definitely put a smile on my face.
Jewellery makes a fantastic stocking filler but those little packages certainly don't have to be expensive to be special. I think a Joma Jewellery bracelet makes for a brilliant gift at Christmas time. There's so many to choose from in their 'A Littles' range so whether you're buying it for a friend, family member or someone going through a bit of change or tough time you can have an added touch of personalisation. I'm loving some of their new Scottish themed ones.
My next stocking filler has featured on my blog already this month and is something I'll be gifting to a couple of people - Homemade Starburst Vodka. This little DIY homemade gift can be part of a night out themed stocking or might
Speaking of nights out and drinking vodka this stocking filler just might be the best present to give to someone who struggles with hangovers the day after. Yeti and the Fox Good Night, Great Day* is designed to boost liver function, contains antioxidants and increases energy levels, in turn eradicating the dreaded hangover. This comes in single packs, twin packs and ones for 6 or 12 nights out. For £6 this stocking filler could be an absolute life saver.
Some more jewellery for my last stocking filler ideas and this time it's earrings. Who knew The Disney Shop did such lovely sparkly gifts for grown ups? There's lots to choose from and the Disney Earrings come in a range of different shapes, metals, birthstones and budgets. A good one for the girly Disney lover in your life.
