Another year older already... it was my birthday on Sunday and my last before I become a Mum. I had the most lovely birthday weekend starting off with a pamper and Christmas Fayre on the Friday night, lunch with the girls on the Saturday and a relaxing day spent with my husband and family dining (but no wining) on the Sunday. I was totally spoilt with so many treats and goodies. It's only right I keep up tradition, like I did in 2018, 2017 and 2016, and share What I Got For My Birthday.
So my bundle of presents that would normally include at least 4 Prosecco related gifts was looking a little different this year as I'm 33 weeks pregnant. I did get a cute pair of Moji-Toes socks though to remind me of my favourite cocktail. Everyone definitely got the memo that my baby is happy for me to eat chocolate and I think I've probably got enough sweet treats to keep me and my husband stocked up for film nights until at least Christmas. The big bag of Doritos is an added bonus and surprisingly I've not demolished it yet.
My main birthday present was a bit of a surprise. My husband paid close attention to my birthday Wishlist buying me both a dressing gown and MacBook cover but when it came to the Fitbit he had other ideas. He decided that an Apple Watch would be a better option for me being able to track my steps and exercise along with getting phone calls and notifications conveniently. Obviously he went for pink and bought me the Apple Watch Series 4 in pink and gold and I absolutely love it. I've been like a big kid playing with my new toy and I'm already really impressed by the convenience of having a smart watch on my wrist, especially at work.
There's been a bit of a theme for my birthdays the last few years and I've been so lucky to receive a beauty advent calendar. Last year it was the Glossybox calendar and this year it's the Amazon Beauty Calendar. This is always such an exciting gift as it's sort of the gift that keeps giving. Roll on Sunday when I can start opening up each box and discovering some of the beauty goodies inside. The Amazon Beauty Calendar is sold out which definitely suggests its a good one and it includes brands like Elemis, L'Oreal and Foreo though I'm doing my best to avoid spoilers.
Along with two sets of pyjamas and my cosy rabbit dressing gown from Primark, I received a few lovely accessories this year. How gorgeous are the colours in my new checked scarf from New Look? I also got a few jewellery pieces in particular a couple of Joma Jewellery bracelets. I love all the little messages that come with these bracelets and the Mummy to Be one was extra special to receive this birthday and it looks lovely stacked with with the sparkly Special Daughter charm.
There was lots of beauty products and pamper items in my birthday gifts. I'm excited to try the Mane 'n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner after my husband spotted it on my Wishlist. I also got a mini Mermaid Hair set from Umberto Gianni which I think might be handy for my hospital bag. I'm totally ready for some pamper nights on the lead up to Christmas. I got four amazing candles including a Yankee Candle Gift set and an Alien Invasion scent from Ava May Aromas. I also got the Lee Stafford Ultimate Hair Mask set, Soap and Glory eye patches and pore-refining mask and a Feather and Down Pillow Spray. I've got no excuses but to have glowing skin and healthy hair.
