It's crazy to think these are my second last nails of 2019. From my glittery pink and marble nails back in January to only having one more set to choose before 2020. I fancied something quite Wintery and glittery without going too Christmassy. I feel like these nails are a mix between Walking in a Winter Wonderland and Frozen.
Starting off with the shape and length. I've gone for quite a square shape and gone a lot shorter than my last set of nails. I'm slowly getting shorter and shorter ahead of becoming a Mum - how sensible of me! All of my nails started off with Dolly Builder in a Bottle which is a nude base that does wonders for allowing my natural nails to grow. Then there's only two colours in this set of nails and a whole lot of glitter. I've got Daisy, a white, on all my nails except the middle finger which is V88. V88 is a nude shade that's probably best described as a griege. Then on top there's a hand-drawn snowflake using Daisy along with dots of white and #Bling.
Now for all the sparkle. My favourite glitter of this set is definitely Rachel on my ring finger. This Magpie Beauty glitter is a smashed glitter that looks so chunky and properly shines thanks to being layered up loads and covering every little bit of the nail. Some more silver glitter on my index finger but this time just at the base of the nail. Lola is a silver holographic glitter that is quite fine and creates the look of snow.
On my thumb I've got Blossom on the white base. This is a beautiful white and gold iridescent glitter that looks quite delicate. It's just got the right amount of sparkle in the light. Last but not least, I've got a little bit more foil in this set. Sticking with the theme we went with a silver foil using Essence Silver Leaf on my pinky. Jack Frost eat your heart out!
Any ideas for Christmas nails? I've been pinning all the candy cane and reindeer nail designs but you can guarantee there will definitely be some glitter...
