New Look Haul | Autumn Update

It’s not been long since I posted a New Look haul but I was in need of some Autumn wardrobe updates, I couldn’t resist their 20% off student discount (thanks to my husband who is still studying for his work) and I had two gift cards burning a hole in my purse. That makes for a dangerous combination which resulted in a nice selection of casual and workwear clothes. If you’re looking for some simple knitwear or new Autumn/Winter boots then I’d highly recommend New Look just now…

Starting off simple, I was on the lookout for some light knitwear tops that would be long enough to wear with leggings and bit enough to skim over my growing bump. You can’t beat an Autumn outfit made up of a top, leggings, boots, scarf and cosy coat for heading outside. An effortless outfit that still looks a little stylish. Both the Grey Fine Knit Oversized Top And the Roll Sleeve Fine Knit Jumper  were £9.99 but with the student discount came down to £7.99. They’re both a nice, soft fabric and fit really well even though they’re not maternity – I just sized up from my usual. They're exactly what I was looking for.

Some more knitwear but this time something a little cosier then something a little cooler. The V Neck Longline Jumper is so thick and soft, it’s definitely more suited to Winter but with the way the temperatures are dropping I’d imagine I’ll be wearing this a lot before October is even over. This jumper is £22.99 full price but with the discount came down to £18.39. I quite like the light tones of this jumper, they match in well with black or blue jeans or leggings, and are easy to pair with any of my scarves.

Another of my favourite colours for this time of year is burgundy so it’s no wonder I gravitated towards the Burgundy Fine Knit Cold Shoulder Top even though it’s available in a few different colours. This top is a bit better for layering with a cardigan or for at work when it seems they’ve got the heating blasting. The fine knit makes it a little cosier than wearing a T-Shirt. This was £10.39 with the discount instead of £12.99.

My next two buys are from the maternity range, which New Look does so well. I’ve seen the Blue Maternity Tunic in the sale a few times before and I think what’s stopped me is not having a pair of leggings to wear with it. It was £9 down from £17.99 and a good colour for Autumn. Definitely a workwear option but it also looks quite dressy too. I am loving the Black Seamless Maternity Leggings already. I paid £7.99 instead of £9.99 with the discount and they were totally worth it. They’re comfortable, not at all see-through and fit well over the bump.

My last purchase was a change in season must have – a new pair of boots. Last year I was all about the heeled ankle boots and the Chelsea boots and of course they’ve been coming back out this year already but I fancied a longer pair of boots. I wanted something that had a sensible sized heel and were knee high for wearing mostly with leggings and tights but also suitable for with jeans too. I finally chose the Wide Fit Knee High Black BootsThey’re a really good fit and I’m so glad they’re slightly bigger at the calf, they’re not too wide but they definitely wouldn’t have fit otherwise. They’re definitely a riding boot style and are comfortable for wearing all day at work. I like the zip detail up the side and the hint of gold along the heel, nothing too fussy. The zip makes putting them on really easy. Full price they were £44.99 but I paid just over £38 which really isn’t bad for good quality pair of boots that are going to last all Winter.
