90's Hen Party | Spice Girls Costume & Makeup

In June I went to the Spiceworld Reunion Tour with my best friends. It was the most amazing concert and definitely made us love them even more. One of the girls is getting married in November and when her hen party theme was announced as the 90's we knew we had to be the Spice Girls in celebration. There was 5 of us and a Spice Girl to suit each of us, it couldn't have been a more perfect group costume if we tried.

Obviously as the blonde of the group I was Baby Spice and putting together my costume was surprisingly easy. My dress is a Pink Ruffle Edge Sun Dress from New Look and it's actually a maternity dress so perfect for me at 28 weeks pregnant. New Look is definitely a good place to look for a pink dress, maternity or not. I wasn't going to argue with the excuse of wearing trainers for a night out. I wore my True White Vans Authentics for the most comfortable night on the dance floor. We all had a microphone prop but I also had a Chupa Chups bubblegum filled lollipop as my Spice Girl accessory. So if I didn't have a lolly in the photos I was doing boomerangs of blowing bubbles - channelling my inner Baby Spice.

You can hardly be Baby Spice without putting your hair in pigtails, can you? Certainly not my usual hair style but easy to do and definitely adds to the costume. We also wrapped some hair round the hair bobbles in true Emma Bunton style. I wore a cheap pair of silver hoops from Primark as my 90's jewellery.

For my makeup I stuck to my usual base of Estee Lauder Double Wear and Benefit Hoola Bronzer for a hint of colour. The main focus was the eyes and lips. I wanted to do a bright pink eye look and the MUA Pro Eye Shadow Palette in Fire Vixen was perfect. I used the hot pink at the bottom right of the palette underneath my lash line as well as on my eyelid with a few of the lighter shades and a bit of shimmer. I also went for the biggest eye lashes I own. I wore the Land of Lashes Aurora Faux Mink Lashes and though they're very dramatic they're really lightweight and stayed in place for the full day and night. My lipstick is Benefit They're Real Double The Lip in Lusty Rose for a hint of pink.
