Saturday saw us celebrating the most beautiful wedding of my husband's sister. The day was split between a gin distillery (mocktails for me) and a local hotel for delicious food and a night of dancing to a brilliant band. It was a perfect day full of love, family and friends.
At 23 weeks pregnant I wanted a dress that I'd feel comfortable and confident in and going for something maternity was the best option. I picked out the Navy Bardot Twist Front Dress from the Katie Piper Maternity range at Want That Trend back in the Summer and instantly loved it. It's quite small made so I recommend going up a size. From there it was time to accessorize.
My accessorises are all blush pink/rose gold with a hint of sparkle. The Rose Gold Sinamay and Feather fascinator, which is on a headband and was comfortable for the full 12 hours, is from Etsy. The Rose Gold Glitter Block Heels are from New Look. The wide fit and block heel both helped make them comfortable for the majority of the day - at least until the proper dancing started then I swapped to flip flops. My clutch bag, which was always put down before a photo is also rose gold, blush and glittery but unfortunately it's an old one from New Look but ASOS have a similar one.
I much prefer having my hair down to an up-do so rather than booking into the hairdresser I decided to do my own hair with the help of my Halo Hair Extensions. I wanted long curly hair and the Halo gave me much more thickness and length without worrying about clips being on show or if it would be secure all night. I used the Babyliss Pro Curling Wand to be sure the curls would hold. The fascinator did a good job of covering up the transparent halo so it was completely invisible.
When it came to makeup I stuck to my trusty selection of Estee Lauder Double Wear, Benefit Hoola Bronzer and Boi-ing Concealer, Maybelline Brow Pomade and Rimmel Accelerator Mascara. I went for a rose gold and blush pink eyeshadow combination with a Primark eyeshadow palette along with the Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes eyeshadow palette.
I feel like false eyelashes finish off a special occasion look and I had three gorgeous sets to choose from the Eylure Limited Edition Enchanted Range* at Falselashes.co.uk. All three sets; Flower Ranger, Oops-a-Daisy and Blooming Lovely, come with Eylure glue, are reusable and are lightweight. They're really easy to apply and just needed a little trimmed off to be the perfect fit for me. I ended up going with the Oops-a-Daisy set on the day and they stayed put all night.
