Quiz is up there as one of my favourite clothes shops and if I'm on the lookout for something for a special occasion I'll always check to see what's in. I was looking for a dress to wear to a wedding dance but unfortunately they don't have a maternity range so didn't find anything to suit. I did, however, order a few things mostly from their sale in a size up to help update my wardrobe a little for Autumn and my expanding waistline.
The first dress I got is absolutely gorgeous and would definitely have been my favourite if it wasn't for the fact it's a little snug. The Yellow Leopard Print Wrap Dress is £19.99 down from £29.99. The wrap style is really flattering and the animal print is on trend but because it was from the Petite range sizing up didn't quite give me enough space for my 22week bump. I would highly recommend this dress though - perfect for dinner and drinks with the girls and looks good with tights and boots for A/W.
Sticking with the animal print trend but this time only £6.99 in the sale was the Zebra Print Shirt Dress. Although this dress, which used to be £24.99, has hints of neon yellow it's actually the perfect type of dress for Autumn with tights and boots. This shirt dress has quite a smock style fit and so it's perfect around the middle for me. It's slightly longer at the back than at the front and the long sleeves look quite good rolled up too.
Some more animal print but this time a soft cosy jumper. The Leopard Print Long Sleeve Top is new in and costs £24 so my most expensive purchase. This jumper is long enough to wear with leggings and boots but also jeans. It's casual and comfortable, but can be dressed up with a pair of leather look trousers. It's quite an oversized fit so by sizing up this is sure to see me through the next couple of months of pregnancy.
My next top was in the sale, probably from last winter. I had Christmas nights out in mind when buying the Black and Silver Glitter Batwing Top. It was £12.99 down from £29.99 and I think it's quite a good option for those gatherings with friends or family throughout December. Although this top has batwing sleeves and is a little oversized I think it'll be quite fitted around my bump in month 8 of my pregnancy.
Another sale buy, but very much one left over from Summer is the pink cold shoulder top for £6.99. I love this style of top and have a couple from Quiz. It's a handy one to have in my wardrobe and I'm happy to wear pink whatever the season.
My last buy was the one I was most disappointed with. I thought the Navy Chiffon Pleated Top which was £16.99 down from £24.99 would be another option for slightly dressier occasions. I know I wanted slightly oversized but this ended up drowning me with no shape at all. It would definitely look better with leather look trousers or leggings but it just doesn't suit me.
That yellow leopard dress stole my heart!😍 I really like shirt dresses with tights and booties, you paired all these looks so well together!👏🏾
