TUI Blue Marmaris | Five Favourite Things

At the end of July to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and as a bit of a Babymoon, we jetted off to Turkey for a relaxing week in the sun. We only booked it at the end of June but knew we were heading to Paradise after spending a week in the TUI Blue Marmaris resort before. We visited this adult only hotel in 2017 when it was the TUI Sensimar Marmaris Imperial Hotel and loved everything about it. I wrote a full review in 2017 and just had to look back at this to be reminded of what a perfect week we had. Since changing to a TUI Blue hotel there's been a couple of changes but we still loved our stay and wanted to share our five favourite things about the TUI Blue Marmaris.
Location
The TUI Blue Marmaris hotel is tucked away surrounded by trees giving it a private and romantic feel. The resort has beautiful views and stunning sunsets. You feel as though there isn't another hotel for miles around. If you fancy visiting Marmaris you can get a water taxi or minibus from the hotel multiple times a day so you're not completely cut off. Turkey really is a beautiful country.

Activities
I'll be honest, I could go on a 'beach holiday' and spend all day lying by the pool reading my Kindle and going for a dip every so often. I get through book after book and I'm happy. However, TUI Blue Marmaris has loads of activities on offer and lots without having to pay a penny extra. My two favourites are archery and kayaking. Both are things I don't get the opportunity to do very often and jumped at the chance. My husband also did some of the more standard holiday activities - water polo and football.

Food
When we stayed at the TUI Sensimar we were impressed by the food and I think the TUI Blue Marmaris have upped their game even more. The main restaurant had a fantastic selection of food with loads of live-cooking for fresh, delicious food. You also get one visit to the Turkish a la carte restaurant as part of your stay which gives you the chance to try something different and probably our favourite was the Purple Turtle cafe for table service snacks at lunchtimes.

Entertainment
The thing about All Inclusive Resorts is you're not really leaving the area and so there needs to be good entertainment at night time to stop you being bored (or getting really drunk at the bar as an alternative). Every night, except one, there was a professional show pitched perfectly for adults. From dance and acrobatic troupes to live bands we were impressed by everything on offer. There was no amateur performances giving us second hand embarrassment.

Complete Relaxation
We love a city break but when we booked TUI Blue Marmaris what we wanted was complete relaxation and that's exactly what we got. There was so many places to relax in the sun or shade, from the sunbeds around the two pools to the beds by the beach and the hammocks and beanbags tucked away in the trees. The staff go above and beyond to make every experience perfect- they really do make the hotel 5*.
