OOTD | Boohoo Wedding Guest Dress

Our second wedding of the Summer was a week after my work bestie's big day. We had a lovely day celebrating one of my husband's friend's wedding from a Humanist ceremony to a meal by the caterers that did our wedding meal and then a night on the dance floor. It was great to spend the day and night with lots of close friends and I was proud of myself surviving to 1.30am at 15 weeks pregnant with water and lemon replacing my usual Prosecco.

I struggled a bit to choose what to wear. I didn't have much of a bump but I certainly wasn't going to fit comfortably into any of the dresses I already had in my wardrobe. Thankfully Boohoo came to the rescue. I ordered the Boohoo Boutique Embroidered Midi Skater Dress in blush the week before the wedding and it arrived just on time. I felt really comfortable with with length of the dress and the adjustable straps were a must.

I wore my trusty Block Heels from Quiz. Unfortunately these exact ones aren't available anymore but I'd definitely recommend a chunky heel for a comfortable heel all day. The nude and rose gold went well with the peachy blush shade of my dress. My bag, which isn't in any of the pictures is my black Michael Kors crossbody, I needed a bag big enough for my car keys along with all my essentials - designated driver and all that.

As for hair and makeup I tried magnetic eyelashes for the first time and kept my hair simple. I got the Ardell Magnetic Double Demi Wispies and once I'd trimmed them down slightly they were actually really easy to apply. They pretty much stayed in place all night but I think a little practise would help. I curled my hair with quite a small barrel curling wand and then finished it all off with a Black Jewel Fascinator from Quiz, tying in with my black bag.
