Hen Party Outfit | Carnival Theme

Yesterday was my work bestie's hen party before her wedding in July. Her bridesmaid's organised a fantastic evening and night in a local venue with a cocktail making masterclass, plenty of games and best of all a Carnival Theme to compliment her away hen in Madrid. All of the ladies put so much effort into their costumes and I love how colourful the photos have turned out.

My outfit was all quite affordable and easy to put together. I knew I wanted to wear blue and yellow as it's our school colours (and pink wasn't an option as the bridesmaids bagsied it). I started off with the yellow feather headdress as it was one of the things that appeared most often in photos on Pinterest. The blue dress is by Pied a Terre, it's a perfect bright electric blue shade and was a little bargain from eBay. The last thing I bought was a yellow feather boa and had I given myself more time I would have made it into a bustle like some tail feathers. Unfortunately I ordered it very last minute...

I did my usual night out curly hair with a Babyliss Wand ready for the headdress on a hairband. I fake tanned with Xen-Tan Dark Lotion and did a "full face of makeup" with Estee Lauder Double Wear, Revolution Pro Camouflage Concealer, Benefit Hoola Bronzer and Maybelline Tattoo Brow Pomade. But then came the fun. I went for the biggest false eyelashes that I owned - Land of Lashes Aurora Faux Mink Lashes

The gems under my eyes are Gypsy Shrine Jewels. Loads of the girls went for this glam option and my ones, the Dancing Queen Under Eye Jewels, were quite tame in comparison.  They stayed on all night though and I would definitely recommend them for any sort of festival or fancy dress. To finish off the look I added some Supernova Stardust Glitter and Babylon Zoo Stardust Glitter
