Try On Haul | New Look

When a drastic change in weather comes at the same time as New Look has a £25 off offer then you can pretty much guarantee I'll be making an order. That's exactly what happened at the weekend. I wanted to buy a few sunny weather items in case heatwaves are going to be a regular occurrence and then I also bought a few things in preparation for wedding season continuing to take over my social life.

I quite like midi length dresses for in the Summer and find them quite handy for wearing to work on hot, sunny days. The thing about the Black Ribbed Bodycon Midi dress that made me want to try it was the different neckline. I was getting 90s vibes from the high neckline but this also makes it more work appropriate. Throw it on with a pair of sandals and you're good to go.

Two big trends for 2019 are wrap midi skirts and animal print, put them together and you get this gorgeous Leopard Print Wrap Midi Skirt. This skirt was in the Rochelle Edit section of New Look, was only £12.99 and was left in just a couple of sizes. I've sized down in this and I would say it just fits, just!

In case the smaller sized wrap skirt didn't work out I also ordered a Black Wrap Midi Skirt. The material of this one and because it's plain black shows the creases far too much for my liking! This will obviously be a lot more versatile and can be paired up with a bigger selection of tops. I just can't decide if it looks too long and frumpy on me.

As soon as I saw this Coral Halter Neck Pleated Midi Dress in the Occasion Wear category I loved the colour and fit. I thought it would be a beautiful dress to wear to a wedding in the summer. It's quite a long midi dress on me and the buttons at the back of the neck are a little fiddly but I'm quite happy with how it looks. I took advantage of the £35 off £100 orders and made the £29.99 dress slightly more affordable but next is time to think of the shoes, fascinator and bag.

White and cream clothing is always a bit of a trend for Spring and Summer and I'm seeing a lot of Broderie across the high street this year. I quite like the girly look and this Cream Broderie Peplum Top will be perfect with a pair of jeans for the most simple casual Summer outfit. I'm just not 100% used to the peplum style and it feels like my top stops like a crop top.

Onto some shoes. In the Summer I wear sandals and flip flops all of the time but when it's a dull or wet day I'm left not knowing what to put on my feet. As much as I wear my Converse and Toms they don't always go with my girly outfits and so I wanted to try something different. I ordered the Grey Canvas Espadrilles in hope that they'd be the mix of trainers, pumps and loafers that I was looking for. The wide fit are actually really comfortable and I like that I can still fit a little pair of pop socks underneath.

My last purchase was a pair of heels that I was hoping to wear to a wedding, in attempt to change up a Chi Chi dress I've worn before. I'm hoping to wear coral accessories and I liked the look of the Coral Pointed Court Shoes. I feel like I was tricked by the improved comfort claims. As much as they're a beautiful colour they are not comfortable. In fact my feet hurt just trying them on for photos. Definitely being returned. The search continues.
