NOTD | Spring Florals

2019 has been the year of the nail designs. There was hearts in February and leopard print in March. Inspired by Spring, April is all about the floral design. I am loving this girly design; it's quite delicate and subtle and, a bit like the leopard print, it's bringing the fashion trends onto my nails.

I love pink nails and I think Petal might be my favourite. It's a light pink that's a soft mix of nude and pastel. I've got it on my pinky, middle finger and thumb along with as the base colour of the flowers. The white background on my ring finger is Daisy. These two shades together are giving me major Baby Spice vibes.

The flowers were drawn out using a nail stick which helps make the intricate petal shapes. To add a bit of depth there's a few lines of N93 on top of Petal and then a few dots of Jet Black underneath the nail gems in the centre of the flower.

I can't resist a bit of glitter and bling. The glitter on my pointer finger is #Babe - a rose toned pink with chunky glitters. To go along with the gems on the floral design there's a matching gem on the thumb.

My nails were getting very long so I've made them a bit shorter and gone for quite a dramatic change in shape; from a ballerina shape to square. The Gel Bottle Extreme Shine top coat does an amazing job of holding the shine for weeks and the Builder in a Bottle is good at priming and strengthening the nails.
