Superdrug Haul | First Impressions

I don't feel like it happens often, or maybe it's because I'm putting a bit more thought into using a product until it's actually finished instead of having loads of half used products, but I needed to do a bit of a Superdrug order to replenish some of my basics. Quite often my Superdrug hauls consist of one or two essentials along with a couple of impulse purchases but this order was all about the everyday products but I still couldn't resist trying out something new...
I've been wearing a few different fake tans recently for different occasions, like weddings and girls nights, but in between I've quite liked having a bit of colour using a gradual tan moisturiser. I've just scraped the last bits of product out of my Palmer's Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Body Lotion and thought I'd try out Body Glow by Skinny Tan. It was a bit more expensive than I'd usually spend perhaps but I was keen to try it after reading the good reviews. It definitely doesn't have the classic biscuit fake tan smell that's for sure. It felt lovely and hydrating when I was applying it and there wasn't a lot of waiting around for it to sink in which is a bonus. Unfortunately I didn't see a huge difference in colour after one use. Maybe I was a little hesitant to apply too much or maybe it just takes a few applications. I'll persevere and find out...
I've been loving the L'Oreal Infallible 24Hr Fresh Wear Foundation. I find it works well with my dry skin and gives a good coverage. Unfortunately the one that's in my dressing table is from last Summer and so the shade is too dark. I decided to buy it in shade 110 Rose Vanilla to see me through the next wee while until the sun shines and my freckles return. I'm happy to say this shade is fair without being ghostly. It's easy to apply and lasts well throughout the day, even when my work day goes from 8am to 8pm.

My current eye makeup remove is the Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover. It only had a few drops left so I thought I'd better buy something to replace it soon to avoid being left looking like a panda. I've used this one for years, and though I quite like it I thought it was worth trying something new. I picked out the Garnier Fresh Eye Make-up Remover because of the fact that it's for sensitive skin. I've used it a couple of times so far and been quite impressed. It's removed the Benefit They're Real mascara without too much effort and I think it's slightly less oily than the Nivea Eye Makeup Remover.
My old trusty deodorant, the Dove Maximum Protection Cream Deodorant, was running out and unfortunately on this occasion it wasn't on offer. £4.99 is a little pricey for one deodorant and that's what pushed me to try the very popular Mitchum Deodorants which were on offer for £4 for 2. I picked out the Mitchum Deodorant Stick in Powder Fresh and Pure Fresh. So far I'm impressed by both. They do their job and both smell quite nice. The Powder Fresh is possibly my favourite of the two, smelling a bit like baby powder. I've found they don't leave white marks quite as bad as the Dove one did which is good.

My last essential purchase was the Revolution Conceal and Define Supersize Concealer and not just one but 2. This is hands down my favourite. I use it day in, day out. My shade at this time of year is C3 and simply had to stock up just before my current one ran out. I quite like getting the supersize ones now just so that I've got less items filling up my makeup storage.
