NOTD | Leopard Print

After the hearts on my nails last time in honour of Valentine's Day I decided to go adventurous again and have a leopard print accent nail. What can I say other than I love it! Sometimes fashion trends just have to make their way into nail designs too and leopard print is definitely one of them. It's a design that can work with so many colours, you just need to look through Pinterest to see that but I've stuck to the neutrals... for this month at least.

I feel like I always pick out my glitter first and this one is from The Gel Bottle 2019 Glitter Collection. It's without a doubt my favourite collection and I've gone for #Bling - a silver shade with glistening specks. It's definitely a full coverage glitter that works well with Jet Black.

The nude which is on my pointer finger and the base colour for the leopard print is Eve. It seems to be a popular one on Instagram for leopard print. The leopard print was done with dots of N93 with a dotting tool then curves of Jet Black with a detail brush. Unlike the heart design which took precision the leopard print could be different on each nail and on each spot. Curved lines and unfinished circles was the best approach.

All of my coffin shaped nails are finished off with The Gel Bottle Extreme Shine Top Coat or Rubber Top Coat. These keep my nails strong and shiny for a full 4 weeks. Or at least until I can think up my next design...
