Chilled Out Sunday | The Essentials

A Sunday well spent brings a week of content, that's a pretty good saying to live by at the end of a long week. Sometimes a day well spent might mean being really busy, getting out and about or spending time with friends and family but if life has been a little hectic then a chilled out Sunday might just be the best way to set yourself up for the next week. Here's  my essentials for a relaxing day to end the week and kick start the next one.

Having a good pamper and spending some time looking after my skin and hair is a must, especially when life is busy and a little stressful. A chilled out Sunday means I've got a little more time and putting on the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Intensive Treatment for an hour and leaving it to work it's magic does wonders to my hair. As for my face, I use the Body Shop Drops of Light Liquid Peel and follow it up with Glam Glow Thirsty Mud Treatment for  facial results in 20 minutes. Through the week I never take time to moisturise my body but I always make time for Soap and Glory's Butter Yourself Moisture Lotion on a Sunday.

A comfortable outfit is a must for a day at home and you can't quite beat a loungewear set. It's like wearing your pyjamas but still stylish enough if you had some unexpected visitors or needed to pop out to the shop. My favourite two piece is the black off the shoulder loungewear set from FemmeLuxe*. The cuffed jogger bottoms are so comfy while the cropped off the shoulder jumper is cosy but still practical for getting stuff done.

I don't think I could function at the weekend without a cup of tea and it's even better when the tea in my Emma Bridgewater mug is enjoyed with my feet up and a candle lit. I'm loving this 3 wick Wax Lyrical one in Unwind but the fact you can get one that's actually called Blissful Sunday is so tempting! Another must do thing for me on a Sunday is get my to-do list in order for the following week. My planner from Old English Country is perfect for creating a checklist and it's very satisfying being able to tick off in the little boxes.
