Primark Haul | December 2018

In amongst car shopping and fridge shopping (our new kitchen is finally in sight!) I managed to have some time wandering around Primark on my birthday weekend. After getting two lovely pyjama sets for my birthday and some candles, along with a throw and pyjamas in the Victoria Secret Black Friday sale I changed my Wishlist ever so slightly, and I would say I had quite a successful visit.

The first thing I spotted when I walked through the doors was the Metallic Green Midi Skirt that was on my Wishlist. I was quite surprised they had it left in my size as the £13 skirt seemed very popular. It's such a gorgeous festive colour and I'm already imagining it with a black bodysuit and black heels.

Primark is brilliant for Christmas jumpers and working in a school I wear something Christmassy regularly throughout December so it's good to have options. I don't have any Christmas T-shirts and I couldn't resist the grey printed one for only £2.50. This is a good option for when it's far too toastie for a cosy knit. I was less than impressed by the range of jumpers in the womens section - llamas and bulldogs don't really scream Christmas to me. Instead I went to the children's section and got one of their cute sequin reindeer jumpers for £10. It's a perfect fit!

When you find the perfect top you've got to buy it in every colour, right? That's what seems to have happened with these fine knit long sleeve jumpers. I first bought it in October in cream, then bought it in November in black and this time bought it in lilac, yellow and black. They're £6 each, really soft but wash well and are a good quality for the price. I've been wearing them with pinafores, skirts and jeans. They've quickly become my go-to top so it's worth having a selection of colours.

Just before we went away for my birthday the zip on my black puffer jacket broke. To be fair it was a cheap jacket but I wasn't expecting the zip to actually fall apart! I love my mustard puffer jacket but it's not the most practical colour for every outfit so I wanted to replace my black one without spending a fortune. There's some lovely ones in lots of high street shops but I couldn't justify the prices and then Primark came up trumps with this £25 black puffer jacket with hood and added fluff and fur. It's a lovely fitted shape, the pockets fit my iPhone X and the isn't too over the top. It's perfect.

It wouldn't be a visit to Primark without pyjamas or slippers and because I've got 3 new sets of pyjamas it had to be slippers this time. The grey Mickey print slipper boots were £4.50 and go brilliantly with my new grey and white Fair Isle pyjamas from Matalan and also my Victoria's Secret Classic Stripe Pyjamas.  I couldn't leave without something from the Grinch range and I managed to avoid the over the top Grinch Pyjamas and jumpers and settled for the £4 slipper socks. Brilliant for Christmas time.
