Outfit of the Night | Christmas Night Out

Last Saturday was our works Christmas night out, a night which always proves to be good food and good fun. That was definitely the case this year as I got all dressed up for the 3 course meal, live band and copious amounts of Prosecco. Last year I loved my gorgeous River Island One Sleeve Dress but I think I might just like this year's dress even more. I was tempted by glitter and sequins but I wanted something quite sophisticated and fitted and the navy lace Paper Dolls dress is definitely that.

The dress is a body con fit with crochet and lace all over it, including short fluted sleeves. The lace goes just below my knees, while the lining stops just at my knees and the hem is split at the back making it perfect for dancing and sitting comfortably. I definitely think I'll be wearing this dress again next year at a wedding. I kept my shoes and bag simple going for nude, both from New Look last year. They have a similar pair this year, though they don't have have chunky heels which I find are the most comfortable style. Quiz has a really similar clutch bag with a bit of sparkle, it's the perfect size for my purse, phone, lipstick and keys.
I used the Xen Tan Dark lotion which I absolutely love for it's streak free application and non-fake tan biscuity smell. I don't even look that tanned in the photos so imagine how pale I must be without tan! I did my hair a bit differently than I normally would and went for small curls using a Elchim Healthy Hair Professional Wand. The smaller curls held all night  and looked a bit bigger than my usual loose curls. I've also got some silver and pink tinsel in my hair which I love at Christmas time for feeling festive.

My makeup look is made up of quite a lot of Benefit Cosmetics after my birthday and a few old favourites. My foundation is MAC Studio Fix with Benefit's Boi-ing concealer which makes a flawless, high coverage base, then Hoola Bronzer and Dandelion Twinkle adds a bit of colour and highlight. I used Ardell Wispies lashes and the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. My lipstick is They're Real! Double the lip in Lusty Rose
