Outfit of the Day | Festive Family Sunday

A Sunday well spent brings a week of content - how true, especially at this time of year. Well spent can mean a productive, busy day but the chance to relax is equally as important. With the chaos that goes on throughout the week and nights out at the weekend it can be hard to fit in time to visit family so that's exactly what we did on Sunday. From an afternoon at my parent's house, with a cup of tea and mince pie, to an evening with my in-laws for a Sunday dinner. It was lovely to catch up, slow down the pace a little and feel a bit festive.

I wore one of the cosiest jumpers in my wardrobe, this Colour Block Jumper with boucle and cable knit materials and split sleeves. The high neck makes it really snug and the wide sleeves make it a bit different from a regular cosy jumper. The grey and white look great with black jeans and lets face it I wear black jeans 90% of the time anyway. An absolute Autumn/Winter Staple.

Finding a pair of jeans that fit in all the right places can be a tricky task. My favourites are the Primark Super High Waist Skinny Jeans but sometimes it's good to have an alternative and that alternative for me is the Petite 4 Way Stretch Skinny Jeans. First off they're a good length for my short legs. They're a high rise cut so although they're not as high waisted as the Primark ones they don't sit ridiculously low and in fact they sit a bit higher up at the back. The 4 way stretch makes them very comfortable and they don't lose their shape. A wardrobe staple.

As the temperature is getting a bit colder I'm finding my usual socks aren't quite cutting it for my ice cube feet. Unfortunately my big fluffy (and often thermal) socks don't fit inside my heeled boots but now I've got the Wide Fit Chunky Heel Boots they definitely do. These boots have a good sized heel and platform making them a comfortable option for a long day on your feet as well so I reckon these will make the cut for our trip to Krakow over New Year.
