Outfit of the Day | Warner Bros Studio Tour

Another Autumnal outfit from our city break in London and this time it's from our visit to the Warner Bros Studio Tour - The Making Of Harry Potter. Let's just start by saying wow, what a place! It was 3 hours well spent and worth the £43 ticket price. We made our way from London city centre out to Watford Junction and took the shuttle bus to the enormous studio. We loved seeing all the sets, props, costumes and special effects. It's mad to see behind the scenes of all of the films and definitely worth a visit if you've been thinking about it.

At the beginning of the tour their is a free cloakroom which is brilliant for putting in your jacket and bag. All I needed with me was my ticket, phone and camera and because you're spending over 2 hours inside you really don't want to be weighed down and toasting in your coat. This also meant my 1001 photos taken around the Studio Tour feature my outfit - win win!

Let's start with the pinafore - one of my favourite recent purchases from New Look and the most important part of the outfit. I love this Dark Grey Leopard Print Denim Pinafore, it combines two of this seasons biggest trends - pinafores and animal print. Because it's denim it keeps its shape really well which can be very flattering, however I found that this made it very oversized. I bought it in a size 10 and it was huge, completely swamping me. I returned it and ended up buying it in a size 6 and I'm normally an 8-10, so definitely worth noting if you're planning to buy it.

The rest of my outfit that took me through Platform 9 and 3/4, to call on Harry Potter at Privet Drive and onto the Knight Bus to Hogwarts is very plain, warm and comfortable. I feel like a pinafore in Autumn or Winter is always best with a long sleeved top and I wore a Black Roll Neck Top from New Look. It's quite a thin material but it was warm enough under my Camel Coat when we were out and about, but also warm enough for the 20 minutes I spent exploring the outside sets on the Studio Tour.

Typically I'd wear a pair of heeled ankle boots with this outfit but when you're in London for a long weekend you're going to be doing a lot of walking and comfort is key. We did around 20,000 steps each day in London so I'm very glad I had some little black ankle boots from Primark on my feet. These simple, flat books are perfect with pinafores, skirts and jeans. New Look have ones very similar to my little Primark ones.
