Boots Haul | Maybelline, Revlon & Pixi Beauty

I went into Boots for one thing... that classic story, but when there's offers on it's just sometimes too hard to resist. I actually went in looking for the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Tint and somehow left with the wrong product, some repurchases and some completely new makeup and skincare. The joys of a quick run around Boots, at least I managed to avoid the Christmas Gift Section.
Since getting my eyebrows done for my wedding I've been thinking about getting them tinted again. Instead of heading straight back for an appointment I thought about using the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel. I was in a bit of a rush, so when I saw Maybelline Tattoo Brow Pomade in Light Blond I was too busy being excited about the fact in came in Light Blond that I didn't actually realise it wasn't the product I was looking for. I've used it a couple of times since buying it and I'm quite happy with it - as much as it isn't actually a tint. The brush is pretty good and the pomade is long lasting. It wasn't a complete disaster purchase.

Making use of the Buy One Get One Half Price deal I picked up the Revlon Photo Ready Insta-Filter Foundation. I've used the PhotoReady range before and have seen the Insta-Filter on Instagram and Twitter. It's got a gimmicky built-in blender, it's a medium buildable coverage and has a good range of shades. I'm looking forward to seeing if the high-definition filter technology is any good at leaving the perfect app filtered look that it's promising.
I just reviewed the Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara last month and mentioned that I would repurchase it. This time I actually bought the Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara in Daring Black. It's a good mascara and with fair eyelashes I need all the colour pay off I can  get so fingers crossed the Bolder Black has even more of an impact. This was part of the Maybelline Buy One Get One Half Price offer so it was a good time to be making my repurchase.

Another repurchase was the Revlon Colorstay Foundation. I love this foundation and have done for years, right back to before they added a pump to the bottle. It comes in a dry skin or oily skin formula, it's buildable with full coverage and again has a good range of shades perfect for my pale skin. I would probably say this is the best drugstore foundation I've ever used and if you're on the lookout for something that's got good coverage and is long lasting then it's worth buying.
There's been a bit of excitement that Pixi Beauty is now available in Boots and they had a good introductory offer making the 250ml bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic £11.99 instead of £18. It's an exfoliating facial toner that helps tone, firm and tighten while removing dead skin cells. It's got Glycolic Acid, Ginseng and Aloe Vera in it's ingredients list and it's a popular product that sounds like a good one to add to my skincare routine.
