Wedding Gifts | Timeless Present Ideas

The Summer wedding season might be over but we're quickly heading into the Winter celebrations and it won't be long until the Spring wedding invites start being posted out. I'm definitely at that age where weddings will feature throughout much of our year and it's exciting to be able to share so many special days. Like us, some of these loved up couples will have a wedding list sharing the gift ideas that they would need or like. For others gifts will be left unmentioned. Sometimes gifting money is perfect, especially if they've lived together in their own home for a while, or if they've got a big honeymoon planned but sometimes it's nice to give a wedding gift, here's my ideas for some timeless present ideas.

We received a few different items of glassware as a wedding present, from personalised champagne glasses with an engraved bottle of bubbly, to an etched glass set and then a set of Whisky glasses, we also received the most gorgeous Swarovski vase which was beautiful for wedding flowers after the big day and a good excuse to keep flowers ever since. These are items that can be kept for best, to celebrate special occasions or to inject a big of sophistication into our house.

Photos are obviously a massive part of the wedding day and a photo frame is a timeless wedding gift that can help cherish the memories. A beautiful frame can give the newly weds a bit of encouragement to order some prints. If you know the decor in their house you can try and match it in, if not keeping the colours and materials simple can add to the timeless feel. I know I'd love to even frame some of our wedding stationery.

Pots and pans may seem like an old fashioned gift but often couples scrimp and save when it comes to kitchen essentials and they might not have the best quality kitchenware. We were gifted a set of frying pans and we can't quite believe how much better they could be than what we had stashed in our kitchen before. A practical gift, a traditional gift but also one that will be used time and time again.
