Outfit of the Day | NFL London

The other weekend we were in London on a little city break and much to my husband's delight (or his careful planning perhaps) the NFL was on at Wembley Stadium - LA Chargers vx. Tennessee Titans. He's quite the fan and watches every Sunday through the season so we got tickets and headed along. I have to admit it was brilliant. It's such a big show and event. We were there from noon to the end of the game at 5.30pm and I really enjoyed it, and I have to admit I learnt a bit too.

The whole thing starts off with the NFL Tailgate which has the merchandise tent, food and drink stands, cheerleader performances, appearances from NFL speakers and lots of interactive games. We were there for a two hours queueing for merchandise, getting free hot dogs, popcorn and drinks from the sponsors and scanning codes with the NFL Event Pass App. It was a fun way to soak up the Game Day atmosphere.

I knew layering up was going to be my best option for my NFL outfit - we were going to be there for most of the day, sitting in the stadium can get a bit cold and not being able to take a bag meant I needed to have pockets for my phone and card. Also as a complete American football newbie I had no merchandise to rock and at £28 just for a hat I wasn't going to be anytime either.

I couldn't have chosen a better jumper than the camel coloured fluffy high neck jumper from New Look. It's such a soft material, really cosy, without being too thick and heavy. The high neck meant I also stayed warm without a scarf. I think I'll be wearing this jumper loads through the winter. On top I wore some more camel shades this time in my camel single breasted formal coat. This is a total staple for the Autumn/Winter season. Like a lot of coats you need to unpick the stitches that close the pockets up and without too much hassle I had two decent sized pockets for keeping my ticket and belongings safe.

I wore my trusty super high waist skinny jeans from Primark and then with all the walking involved in getting about London, wandering around the tailgate and around the London Designer Outlet after the game I wore my white classic Toms. Such a comfortable pair of pumps. We were so lucky with the weather. The week before it poured rain all day and then the week we were there the sun was shining. I had my trusty Michael Kors Aviators, it's worth checking out TK Maxi to see if you can get your hands on a pair similar.

I couldn't have been further from looking like an NFL fan but I would say I nailed the Autumn look.
