Outfit of the Day | Day Drinks & Summer Celebrations

It's officially the Summer holidays and boy have we had good weather to prove it! Last Friday marked my last day at work for 7 weeks, definitely one of the perks of being a teacher. After a 12 noon finish we rushed home for a quick change to be back out for lunch and drinks at 1pm. Thankfully I had my outfit planned as soon as I spotted it in Primark so it was a stress free turnaround and I was ready to dig into a cajun chicken burger and start with the proseccos, long vodkas and gin and bitter lemons galore.

Although I knew we were starting at 1pm and I wanted to be comfortable in the increasing heat I wasn't quite sure what time we'd be heading home and it turned it we were getting ready for a proper party, getting home just on midnight like Cinderella. So the striped, culotte jumpsuit is from Primark and is new in so should still be in stores just now. The tie at the waist was perfect for adding a little shape, to be fair I think I could have done with a smaller size. The zip at the back is pretty good quality and easy to reach so I had no 'I need help with my zip' moments in the toilets. The culotte trousers were light and airy which has been a must in this glorious weather.

I was torn whether to wear flat sandals or heels so I compromised slightly with a pair of nude and rose gold heel sandals from Quiz. The chunky heel helps these be comfortable all night and judging by the 2 hour aerobic workout recorded on my Fitbit they lasted well through all of my dancing. I also wore my Michael Kors Beth Sunglasses and Michael Kors Jet Set Cross Body Bag, keeping the sun out of my eyes and all of my belongings safe.

I'm definitely going to be packing this jumpsuit for on our honeymoon. I think it'd be quite a good option for in San Francisco with a pair of flats, the linen style material is excellent for the summer. There's lots I need to think about before packing my suitcase though so I am so ready for my break from work to get wedding ready and complete lots of my DIY tasks. Any advice for getting stuff done when all I want to do is sit in the garden and sunbathe?!
