June Favourites | Makeup, Haircare & Life Essentials

June was up there with one of my busiest months ever, it was jam packed from the beginning with afternoon tea and a girly night during the first weekend. I spent a week away from home on a school trip at an outdoor activity centre then returned home to get Great Lengths hair extensions and go to a wedding dance. Then we spent the weekend in Edinburgh followed by end of term celebrations this past weekend. In amongst all of that has been wedding dress fittings, wedding cake appointments, humanist celebrant paperwork and just general wedmin. Chaotic but I've loved it. My favourites this month have been all about keeping me organised, helping me looking alive and awake when things have been tiring, all about my hair and finally some treats for having much needed down time.

In preparation for our wedding day I got Great Lengths Hair Extensions put in this month. My hairdresser recommended getting them to make my hair looking thicker and healthier for my big day. I wasn't convinced at first but after agreeing I'm so glad I did. They look really quite natural and aren't half as high maintenance as I was expecting. Fanola No Yellow Shampoo is an absolute must for getting rid of any brassy tones in my hair and I've been loving using it this month as much as I did last year. It's a real must for blondies.

A brand new favourite for me this month is Disney Life. The app (that I've got on my iPad, laptop and Amazon Fire) is amazing for a bit of chill out time. I've been able to watch old classics and Disney Channel Originals to my hearts content. A little bit of Lizzie McGuire has become a bit of a routine when I'm doing some life admin or a movie in the evening before Love Island starts. It's the little things in life...

With so much to do and remember my Old English Company Planner has been a total lifesaver. I've got blog lists, wedding lists, summer holiday lists and packing lists and it's so satisfying to be able to tick it all off. Is it sad that I've also got a favourite set of pens to go with it? The Paper Mate Ink Joy pens are really nice to write with, they don't spit ink and are smooth. I love the bright colours in this set, it's makes writing lists even more fun and satisfying.

My makeup favourites aren't new but I think that's when you know you really do have a favourite. The Revolution Conceal and Define concealers have featured on my blog loads of times and just last weekend I bought 3 more. Need I say anymore? You can see me rant and rave about them in my review. I've also been loving the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. I tried out the Benefit BADgal BANG mascara and though there was things I liked about it, it made me realise how easy the Maybelline Mascara is to apply, how long lasting it is and that it's not impossible to remove. Quick and easy in the morning and at night when things are busy.

My last favourite is a bit of a random one but because I've been drinking it almost every day this month I can't not mention it - Ribena Strawberry No Added Sugar. This has helped me up my water intake, is Slimming World friendly and has helped reduce my addiction to Diet Coke. On a sunny day a big glass of Strawberry Ribena with some ice is super refreshing and the next best thing to a cocktail.
