This time of year is really exciting and packed full of special occasions. Obviously for me this year it's my wedding, so my wedding dress is number one on my mind and I considered all sorts of styles to get the perfect one for me. Last year I was thinking all about bridesmaid dresses and searching high and low for the right colour and shape to suit each of my three bridesmaids. A few years ago as I came to the end of my degree and days at uni I was hunting for a graduation ball dress and even further back than that it was a prom dress at the end of my high school days. It's so exciting to look for that special occasion dress.
So many different brands on the high street have prom dresses it can become a little over-whelming to search through everything looking for the perfect style of prom dresses for your body type, ones within your budget and colour to suit your hair, skin tone or accessories that you've already got or fallen in love with. Prom Dress Finder has made the Prom Dress Fashion hunt so much easier. I've found six prom dresses that I would love to wear.
Obviously fashions change but both my prom and grad ball dresses were full length and it's that style that I typically think of for a special occasion. The Bow Back Maxi Dress is an absolutely gorgeous navy colour that I think goes perfectly with blonde hair. I wore a similar style of dress to my fiancé's graduation day but it didn't have the stunning sequins or dramatic low back. This would make for a beautiful prom dress with a fancy up-do. The next dress reminds me ever so slightly of my bridesmaids dresses. The Floral Applique Top Maxi Dress is a very girly option from the beautiful blush pink shade to the intricate floral detail and tulle skirt. I'm getting ballerina vibes! Grey is such an on trend colour for a special occasion dress and the Velvet Tie Maxi Dress is fantastic for really cinching in your waist.
The next three prom dresses are all of different lengths and each have a different look and feel to the classic full length dress that I've been used to. Bardot is obviously very fashionable at the moment, still, and the blush pink Bardot Off the Shoulder Dress from ASOS is a really sophisticated style with it's midi length and modest neckline. A really beautiful dress to wear with some statement jewellery. Similar to the girly girl style of the Little Mistress maxi dress I love the Embellished Skater Dress. I'm a magpie so can't resist a bit of sparkle and a skater dress is a really flattering shape for so many different girls. I can't believe this dress is less than £35! The bold blue One Shoulder Dip Hem Dress makes the biggest statement. From the rich colour to the huge frill, it's fun and daring, but still stylish and chic. This little ASOS number is even cheaper at £27. How good is that? Prom ready without spending a fortune.
