Outfit of the Day | Dungarees & Afternoon Tea

I made a recent impulse purchase on the New Look website after watching far too much Friends - a pair of black dungarees. I think it's possibly one of my favourite buys of the year. I was kind of expecting to try it on, be not too keen and after getting a funny look from my fiancé  send it back but it was the complete opposite. After a quick look on Pinterest for a few outfit ideas I was sold. With afternoon tea booked for my Mum's birthday and a girls night (hen party reunion) organised the dungarees quickly got their first outing.

For a bit more of a casual occasion I'll be wearing these with a t-shirt but because I wanted to be a little dressy I wore a Barbie pink vest top from Primark and Rose Gold sandals. I only ever wear skinny jeans and these dungarees are straight leg jeans but I actually really like the fit. I sized down and because the straps are adjustable it was a good fit in the body as well as the legs.
My freckles are still out in full force so I kept my makeup simple. I'm still absolutely loving the Revolution Conceal and Define concealer and I've been using it in place of foundation, with a bit of Benefit Hoola Bronzer as contour. My eyelashes were feeling a little flat so I added a few Couture Lashes eyelash extensions using Duo Lash Glue. They felt much more comfortable than strip lashes and weren't too difficult to apply. My teeth also looked quite white and sparkly and that's down to another product in my teeth whitening mission so I'll definitely be sharing my secret soon.

Afternoon tea was the perfect celebration for my Mum's birthday and having the chance to catch up with all the girls was fab. We danced, sang and played articulate accompanied by lots of prosecco and snacks. Even better I woke up the next morning hangover free with plenty of munchies to help me through the day. The next time we'll all be together again is my home hen!
