I knew buying the New Look delivery pass was going to be dangerous! After having no luck buying any new sandals or flip flops in Primark last weekend I popped onto the New Look website, used their 20% off code during a World Cup match and used my pass for free delivery. I needed some more comfortable and dressy sandals for this summer and especially to be able to take on our honeymoon. New Look didn't disappoint.
I love rose gold so finding a pair with rose gold in it was a no brainer. These rose gold leather sandals are really different from any that I've already got and with the discount cosy £15.99 instead of £19.99. The reviews mentioned that these were narrow and because my feet aren't necessarily wide I went for my usual size. They fit really well but the strap is on the first hole so they are made a bit on the wee side.
The magpie that I am couldn't resist the Metallic and Glitter sandals. Unfortunately the rose gold was sold out but I bought the silver anyway for £14.39 instead of the usual £17.99. I'm gutted that they're not wide enough for my feet and make them look squeezed in and really uncomfortable. You can see that the straps aren't at the edge of the sole and that's the problem. These will have to go back.
Sandals and flip flops are my go-to shoes in the summer, even if the sun isn't particularly shining and sometimes I want something a little more dressed up. I ordered the low block heel sandals in black as something different and to just give them a go. I paid £18.39 rather than £22.99 and I'm pleased to say they're a success. The flexible sole is really comfortable, the heel is good size for day or night without being total pithless and the ankle strap is really secure.
As well as shoes I bought some jewellery. I never buy rings from the high street, my engagement ring and 18th birthday present are enough for me but with less than a month the my wedding I've sent my engagement ring off to be cleaned and so I'm feeling a little naked. I wanted a cheap little ring that I can wear for the couple of weeks until it's returned so that I don't have lots of panics thinking I've lost it. I bought a Diamante Ring Set and am annoyed at myself for choosing a medium as they're far too big. They'll do though.
Absolute impulse, I bought a cute sequin layered necklace. The £4.79 accessory is a nice little extra for lots of Summer outfits and silly as it sounds it's strange not wearing my work lanyard so this necklace can replace it. It's sweet and shimmery, if a little plastic and cheap looking... What can I say? It's got rose gold in it.
