Outfit of the Night | Night at the Tower

Just before my holidays started at the end of March I had a big night out with my work colleagues. Someone was retiring after over 30 years working at the school and we wanted to mark her retirement with something really special. We booked a fancy meal in a beautiful restaurant and set a dress to impress theme. I need no encouragement to get all dressed up and I knew exactly what dress I wanted to wear.

My Bardot lace dress is from Quiz and though it's from last year they have a few similar dresses in again this season with the same lace, sparkle or neckline. I love the off the shoulder look and this midi length was perfect for looking a bit more sophisticated. My heels are from New Look and are the most comfortable heels I own. They have a block heel and a bit of a platform, which for me is a must.
The night out was perfectly timed with both my eyelash appointment and hair appointment which were actually booked for my hen weekend. My lashes are Russian Volume lashes. They're really lightweight but have loads of volume and impact. I absolutely love how they look. As for the rest of my makeup I went with MAC Angel lipstick, Benefit Hoola Bronzer,  Benefit Gimme BrowEstee Lauder Double Wear foundation, Vichy Concealer and Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer. You don't need much more going on when you've got dramatic lashes so I stuck to trying to achieve flawless skin.

The night was fantastic from start to finish. We travelled to the restaurant on a party bus, got Prosecco on arrival, ate a delicious 3 course meal then posed on the grand staircase. I made it to the final 4 of the night and woke up on the Sunday hangover free - bonus. Unfortunately the portions were a bit of the small side, that always seem to be the case in fancy places, so I didn't end the night feeling full but every bite of food was perfect. I had Salmon Bon Bon for my starter, Chicken Stuffed with Haggis served with mashed potato and Lemon Cheesecake for dessert.
