Boohoo Haul | Holiday Shop & More White Dresses

The search for a white dress to wear to my hen night continues and I clicked onto Boohoo knowing that they were going to have at least one white dress in their huge selection of night out attire. I timed it right because they had 25% off going out dresses, which was good but it also meant I couldn't use a code for free delivery meaning I had to pay £3.99. Does anyone else hate paying for postage? I thought if I was paying that much to have it sent to me I might as well add a few other extras to my order.

My first purchase ticks lots of boxes for my style at the moment - floral, ruffle sleeves, shift dress and mustard. This ruffle sleeve dress was included in the 25% off offer so only cost me £11.25 rather than £15, though I don't think I'll be wearing it out out. This dress is perfect for girly days out shopping or heading out for dinner. It looks great with a pair of tights and boots. I'm even tempted to wear it to work, it's a really flattering fit.

Not only am I thinking about a white dress for my hen party I'm also thinking about other holiday clothes. I'm not sure what else I'll need but I thought a playsuit might be a good option for sunnier climates. This monochrome floral print playsuit is simple but stylish and the material is really lightweight. It fits really nicely but I'm just a little hesitant on how short the shorts are. I think it's all down to my body being longer...

Onto the white dresses. As I've said before finding a white dress that isn't see through is one of the biggest challenges. All 3 dresses were less than £20 before my discount so I was prepared that at least one of them would be showing off my pants. I also didn't want any being so short that my underwear would actually be on show so my criteria for the perfect white dress is firmly set.

After wearing a one sleeve dress at Christmas time and absolutely loving it I seemed to be gravitating towards the one shoulder dresses. The first one I picked out only cost £15 after the discount and ended up being my favourite. The midi skirt was a good length but the slit at the front added a bit of sass. The one shoulder was quite classy and the material was pretty good quality. A pair of nude pants won't be seen under this one.

The second dress was from the petite range so I sized up and unfortunately that wasn't the best decision. This one ended up cosying £13.50 down from £18 but was definitely the worst quality out of the three. The material at the middle for tying wasn't the best and ended up not looking like the picture on the website. The asymmetric style was nice though and the length was good.

The last dress was the least see-through and looked gorgeous but unfortunately it just wasn't right for me. The bust on the £13.50 (again down from £18) was padded with the intention of the wearer not wearing a bra. That just doesn't work for me. I tried it with a bra but the back of the dress is very low cut so the bra was on full show. If you're up for going braless then this is a gorgeous dress. The bodycon wrap style was stunning and it made my waist and bum look good but it was far too short for me to feel comfortable... even after some shots and cocktails!

Boohoo must have one of the biggest selections of dresses and it was so easy for me to filter down and find all the white ones. Although delivery was pricey, returns were free which is helpful and makes it a bit easier to buy lots of options when you've got an event or occasion. Now it's time to find the right pair of heels and bag to wear with my hen party dress!
