Snow Day Outfit | Mustard Puffer Jacket

I've been eyeing up mustard coloured puffer jackets since September and I finally got my hands on one at the beginning of the month, just in time for the snow. The snow started falling with us late on Monday night and by Tuesday morning there was enough for me to have a snow day off work. Since then it's not shown any signs of disappearing, in fact we seem to have a new dusting of snow each morning. Yesterday we headed out and after I got wrapped up warm I stopped for some quick photos to show off my new cosy mustard puffer jacket and snow day outfit.

My jacket is from Honeyz.com and it's called the Parade Puffer Jacket, unfortunately it's pretty much sold out. Before I opted for this one I was tempted by quite a few others  though, including one from WearAll.com, River Island, Lasula and Quiz. Some puffer jackets aren't very flattering if they're too puffy but this one has a nice shape and is a good fit. It's such a warm jacket, the hood is a good size and the faux fur trim is a gorgeous colour.

Choosing shoes to wear in the snow isn't an easy task. Some parts of the pavement have thick fluffy snow whereas others are down to thin layers of ice and I don't want cold feet or to slip and embarrass myself. I've been wearing these tan Chelsea boots from New Look all week and they've been perfect. My feet have stayed dry and warm and they've got quite a good grip. New Look is definitely one of my favourite places for boots they've got loads of options.

My high waisted black skinny jeans are from Primark, they're £9 a pair and my absolute wardrobe essential. Comfortable, a good fit and come in short lengths which is a must when you're 5 foot 2. My faux fur pom pom hat is also from Primark but New Look has a similar one. I probably should have worn gloves too but thankfully I wasn't the one who had to clear the car windscreens so I just kept my hands tucked in my pockets.

Looks like the weathers going to turn milder into next week but is it bad that I hope the forecast is wrong? I wouldn't mind another another cheeky day off work. Have you had any snow yet this year? Some places seem to have loads and others have completed missed it. I'm just glad I ordered my cosy jacket in time or I'd have done a lot more complaining.
