Outfit of the Night | Works Christmas Dinner

It was my works Christmas night out on Saturday and we had a restaurant booked for a 3 course meal, secret Santa exchange and elf bombs planned. The night didn't disappoint, I had such a good time with all the lovely ladies that I work with at school. The food was delicious, I received a cute little gift and my secret Santa loved her personalised tree decoration so much that I sneakily told her it was me. Elf bombs are so tasty (apple sourz and Smirnoff Ice) and there was plenty of dancing.

I had my dress planned out in my head for ages since buying it from Boohoo at the beginning of November. I curled my hair with my Babyliss curling wand (again) and pinned it to the side then I applied my layers of makeup whilst sipping on a Blue WKD. A very chilled out, organised process until I put my dress on and realised the back of my bra was on full view. I had a low back bra strap converter and spent 15minutes trying to put it on and get it low enough. Even with the help of some safety pins it was still not hidden. Cue a bit of a panic and back to the drawing board. It might have been a blessing in disguise.

This little black dress is from River Island and I absolutely loved it on. It was really comfortable but felt dressy and sophisticated. I bought it back in August and it was only £15 down from £40! They still have it but only in size 6 and 8. I now want to buy more one shoulder/one sleeve dresses, Missguided and ASOS have a few. I wore it with a pair of chunky heel, platform nude shoes from New Look. They were perfect for all the dancing and walking from bar to bar. My bag is also from New Look and it's a sparkly little Rose Gold and Nude one that was just the right size for all my night out essentials. I kept my jewellery really simple with just my normal daily bracelets (Pandora, Annie Haak, Joma and Tiffany's) and a little pair of pink Pandora earrings

Thankfully even with my wardrobe malfunction I still had a bit of time to pose by the Christmas tree and take a few selfies. Best of all I woke up on Sunday morning feeling fresh and raring to go. With all the Christmas gatherings it was a relief not to write off the day.
