Outfit of the Night | Birthday Party

Saturday was my first night out of the festive season and I couldn't wait to get the sequins on! I was going to my sister-in-law (to be)'s joint 30th birthday party and I was looking forward to having a few glasses of Prosecco and dancing to the band, who are booked for our wedding. As it was my first festive night out I had a few outfit options to choose from and I was happy with how my hair, makeup and outfit turned out. Not quite so happy with my health on Sunday...
The bodysuit is from Forever 21 and though they don't have it in store anymore they have tons of bodysuits to choose from. The bodysuit has a sheer panel at the front which makes it good for going out but not too revealing. The material feels a bit like a swimming costume which makes it stretch out and look really sleek and flattering on. I absolutely love the silver sequin skirt. It's from Topshop but again isn't in stores anymore. There's lots of similar ones, this season's Topshop sequin skirt is a pale pink colour. You can get a similar silver sequin skirt from Choices, or a similar skirt from Boohoo. Both are really affordable and fantastic for the festive season. Following from 90mph winds on the Thursday and Friday and snow most of the day on Friday and Saturday there was no way I was having my legs out. I had to put on a pair of  80 denier tights from Primark, I'd have frozen without them! I kept my shoes quite sensible both because of the snow and because I was planning a lot of dancing. My black chunky heels are Head Over Heels By Dune and again are not available anymore but you can buy similar ones from the regular Dune range. I also wore my black River Island Jacket and New Look Tartan scarf for keeping me warm on the short walk from the house to car and car to venue. Boy, did I need them!
I curled my hair with my Babyliss Wand and covered it in TIGI Rockaholic hairspray so it stayed in place all night. My face makeup consisted of Revlon Colourstay Foundation, Clarins Instant Concealer, MAC mineralize skin finish powder and Benefit Hoola Bronzer. I used the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette on my eyes along with Ardel Demi Wispies Lashes and Stila Diamond Dust Liquid Eyeshadow. I used Benefit Brow Zings in my eyebrows and NYX Lip Lingerie in Baby Doll on my lips. I set it all with Urban Decay All Nighter Spray. I love the Stila Liquid eyeshadows and the silver glitter really stood out all night.
