6 Things I'm Looking Forward To This Christmas Time

It's finally here, the Christmas holidays have started and I couldn't be happier. Looking ahead to the next two weeks there's lots of things I'm excited for, from the small and simple things right up to some big plans. So here is the 6 things I'm looking forward to this Christmas time.
All The Food
2017 was the year that I started Slimming World and completely changed the way I think about food. At the start of the year I knew I'd be going wedding dress shopping in the summer and I wanted to feel the best I could so I decided to make some changes and Slimming World has been amazing for me. I've lost 2 stone throughout the year and dropped 1 or 2 dress sizes. This Christmas I'm looking forward to eating all the delicious food but know that at the end of it all I'll be able to get back on track and follow the plan of Slimming World.
Festive Movies
Who am I kidding, I don't have to wait until the Christmas holidays to start watching festive movies but I'm most looking forward to our Christmas Eve tradition. Every year we watch Home Alone and Home Alone 2 on Christmas Eve and I absolutely love it. I love curling up on the sofa with a blanket and some Christmas chocolates watching films and I've already watched Elf, Nativity, The Grinch and The Santa Clause multiple times this December. A new one that's out this year in cinemas is The Star. It's quite a traditional animated film that tells the story of Christmas but there's lots a funny moments and the animals are particularly cute.

Relaxing and Unwinding
I'm really lucky to have 2 full weeks off work but boy do I need it. I'm in desperate need of some long lie ins and breakfast without rushing around. I'm excited to be able to read a book without feeling guilty that I should be doing schoolwork instead. My brain is well overdue a rest and Christmas time is a lovely time to be able to do that. Nobody can judge you for spending the whole day on the sofa when it's the Christmas holidays!

Time with Friends and Family
Already this Christmas I've been out for loads of drinks and dinners catching up with friends and family and I'm looking forward to that continuing. It's so nice to see everyone whether it's just a cup of tea in the house, out for a big meal or a night dancing on the dance floor there's so much going on and I love it. We're having Christmas Day at my fiancé's parents house then Boxing Day at my Mum and Dad's and I'm looking forward to the games and silliness.
I feel like Christmas time is a brilliant time to declutter and have a clear out. With all the new things that come into the house I'm going to take the time to go through things in the house and reorganise. I've been meaning to sort out my wardrobe for ages because lets face it it's at bursting point! Having said that I have just ordered loads in the River Island sale (whoops!) I also need to sort out all our wedding stuff so that I know exactly what I've got and still need to get and get it all in order. I think Netflix on my laptop and a cup of tea are the perfect ingredients to help with a declutter.

Wedding Ring Shopping
The last thing we have planned before returning to work on the 8th of January is a trip to Edinburgh to hopefully buy our wedding rings. I've been eyeing up a few different styles on the internet but it's hard to know until it's on your finger. I'm so excited to get going with the wedding planning and all the exciting bits we've got left to do. 2018 is going to be a very exciting year!
