Boohoo Haul - Bodysuits & Christmas Dresses

I was checking the calendar on my phone to keep track of all the parties that I've got coming up and realised I had a serious amount of 'going out' outfits needed. An engagement party, wedding dance, Steps and Vengaboys concert, my birthday, a 30th and Christmas nights out called for operation outfit order and plan. In other words make a Boohoo order and keep track of all the potential outfits in my reminders on my phone. Boohoo always has good discounts and when I placed my order there was 20% off everything. How could I resist?

I've got a few different pairs of trousers and skirts that will be perfect for some of my different gatherings but didn't have many options for tops. Bodysuits are great because they stay tucked in and show off my slimmest part. Boohoo has loads of bodysuit options and some of them are really affordable. I've had bodysuits from Missguided and New Look that don't popper at the bottom because I've apparently got a long torso but all of these are long enough. The nicest out of the 3 I order was the black bardot one and it was only £6.40.

This dress was going to be my Mad Friday dress - the last night out with the girls before Christmas. You can always wear your glitziest dress and get all dolled up. Unfortunately this dress is getting sent straight back. It was as stiff as cardboard when I unfolded it out of it's packaging, closely followed by a massive trail of glitter. I thought it might be a bit better once I put it on but there was no such luck. It was shapeless, rigid and the cowl neckline looked awful on me. Maybe that's why it's reduced down to £15 from £35.

Works Christmas night out sorted. I wanted a dress that had plenty of sparkle, wasn't too fitted (thinking of my 3 course meal and large quantities of prosecco) and that I could wear black tights with if the weather is bad. This dress ticks all of the boxes and I love it. From the Boutique range it's a little more expensive than some of the other Boohoo dresses but it's totally worth the £28 I spent after the discount. I quite like the look of the blush one too.

This little jumpsuit purchase is extremely out of season and not something I intend to wear until next year but I couldn't resist buying it now. If you've seen my Hen Weekend Clue and Wishlist post you'll know I've been eyeing things up for my hen weekend next year and this jumpsuit fit the bill. £20 isn't a bad price and the adjustable straps are a life-saver. It's a nice lightweight material too so it should be good for heading abroad.

My last little purchase is something my other half would say I 100% don't need but I would argue. Yes I've got black heels already but don't have many plain black pairs and I certainly don't have any that are pointed. It's quite a classic pair of court shoes. I'll be wearing these with all sorts of outfits throughout November, December and January (until the hibernating begins). I quite like the little cushion for added comfort too.
