TK Maxx Haul - Designer Treats, Rose Gold Tech & Baby Gifts

If I'm having a retail therapy day I love wandering around TK Maxx searching for some hidden gems. It's been ages since I've been in a TK Maxx store by myself, with loads of time to look (taking my other half is a no-no, he's too impatient) so I headed onto the website with nothing too specific in mind. I spent ages browsing through the different pages to see what I could find.  It wasn't long until I had a basket full and couldn't wait for the postie to deliver it. I seem to have treated myself... a lot.

Michael Kors Brown Leather Purse £49.99 (RRP £135)
Ted Baker Pink Floral Phone Case £10 (RRP £
Did I need a new purse? No, not really. Should I have bought one a month before my birthday? Probably not. Should you walk away from a Michael Kors bargain like this in TK Maxx? Absolutely not! I've seen a few Michael Kors things in TK Maxx but never seen a purse this simple, classic and timeless. It's from the Bedford range, has lovely soft leather, and loads of space for cards, money and receipts. You can actually still get the black version from Selfridges now - that's when you know you're onto a winner! The other designer that I can't resist is Ted Baker. TK Maxx always has Ted Baker goodies in stock but you've got to search for them. Ted Baker phone cases are normally anything from £24 to £30 if you buy them full price and TK Maxx had a good selection from iPhone 6 and 7. I went for a pink case with  a really simple bird and flower print. A bit more sophisticated than my current glittery case and it really is slim and trim. TK Maxx is worth checking out for Christmas presents if you've got a designer lover to buy for.

I'm with EE and they've given me free Apple Music for 6 months which has seen me listen to a lot more music about the house. I didn't have any portable speakers so was just relying on the volume on my phone, which isn't too bad but if you're doing anything too noisy like having a shower or making soup, then it's just not loud enough. This bluetooth portable speaker purchase is therefore both justified but also a little bit of an impulse buy. I have to admit the rose gold was the decider. When we flew back from Turkey luggage and safety restrictions meant I wasn't able to take my portable phone charger back with me. With an iPhone that doesn't seem to like me using too much social media I was gutted and had to replace it. Again with the rose gold... TK Maxx always has a good selection of techy stuff.

Another department that I love in TK Maxx is the stationery. I love having a look through their diaries, note books and little gift sets. I got my current Kate Spade planner from TK Maxx and I was hoping to find another ready for 2018. They didn't have any online but I spotted this Orange Circle Studio one and loved the '2018 is a good year to have a good year' quote on the front. It's a lot bigger than I was expecting but I was planning on using it for a Slimming World food diary, like my current planner, so it's an ok size because it won't be carried about in my handbag. My next purchase is a gift. We're going to an engagement party this weekend and I was looking for something little to buy to go along with a bottle of champagne. This Leonardo Collection set of Hello Handsome and Hello Gorgeous stemless flutes are good for when she drinks wine and he's more of a spirit or beer drinker because they match but aren't strictly wine or champagne glasses.

Winfun Tiger Junior Laptop £12.99
Luvable Friends Lamb Hooded Towel £7.99
My last two purchases were both for presents and for babies. TK Maxx has gorgeous baby gifts and I'm at the age when lots of my friends, or fiance's friends, are starting to have babies. I much prefer being prepared and having a gift or two ready when I see something I love. One of my besties is pregnant and I bought the adorable Luvable Friends Hooded towel ready for when she pops. This is so cute and perfect for a boy or girl. They normally have a few different animals and colours in store too which can be a bit more 'gender specific'. The Winfun Tiger Junior Laptop is actually one of my first Christmas presents. I bought it for my work friend's wee one. I couldn't resist the Tiger face on the front and an educational toy is a must from a teacher!
