Makeup & Outfit of the Night

On Saturday night it was one of my Bridesmaids' birthdays and we were all heading to hers for some drinks and then heading into town. I had been feeling ill all week, from a sore throat to a full blown cold but I was determined not to miss out on the fun. I spent a little bit more time on my makeup and choosing an outfit I was sure I'd feel happy and comfortable in. From the photos I don't think you would know I was ill, thanks to the power of makeup, but I sounded a bit croaky and manly all night. It was a great night of catching up and sampling a few different gins. It was nice to have the boys there too.

I relied on concealer for helping me look a little more alive using a NYX colour corrector, Clarins Instant concealer and Smashbox Under Eye Brightener. The L'Oreal Infallible Foundation is fantastic for quite a full coverage and I finished it all off with a MAC mineralize skinfinish natural. I added a bit of colour with Benefit's Hoola Bronzer and highlighted with Soft and Gentle by MAC. My makeup all stayed in place thanks to the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer and Urban Decay All Nighter Spray on top. I kept my eyes quite simple, leaving the Ardell Demi Wispies Eyelashes to do most of the work with the Revlon eyelash glue. I used Benefit's They're Real mascara on my lashes underneath and Gimme Brow on my eyebrows. I skipped eyeliner and used the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette with Crave taking the place of eyeliner, Naked 2 on my lid, Venus as a highlight and Faint in the Crease. Lastly I used a Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick in Famous.

I love a black jumpsuit and this Mela London one is perfect. I rolled up the legs a little bit and wore it with a simple pair of black heels from Primark. The statement necklace is from Tesco and the mix of metals went well with my Michael Kors clutch that didn't quite make it into a photo. The rest of my jewellery is just what I'd wear each day, including a Tiffany's, Pandora, Annie Haak and Joma Jewellery bracelet. I'm also wearing my rose gold and lilac Fitbit Charge 2, there's guaranteed to be dancing when the girls get together!
