I couldn't hide the grin on my face when I discovered the NYX counter in Boots. It's the first time I've seen it since coming back from New York in April There's so much to choose from and the prices are so affordable. A fantastic drug-store brand. I overheard a couple of girls talking about the Liquid Suede cream lipsticks and when one said they were like the Kylie Lip Kits I knew I had to try one of them out. If they were right it was going to save me a fair amount of money and a lot of hassle.
I chose Soft Spoken because I wanted something quite dark, a statement lip colour for Autumn and Winter. It's absolutely beautiful and I'm so happy with my choice. As soon as we got back from shopping I couldn't wait to try it out. At first it can be a little tricky to put it on perfectly, it's not like a regular lipstick that you can put on in a rush. It goes on quite wet and the pigment is amazing. After a couple of minutes it dries on and can stay put for hours. I've put it through the test on date night and a girly catch up. It's so long-lasting I barely needed to touch up after a visit to Cosmos World Buffet and a pitcher or 2 of Raspberry Mojitos with my boyfriend. I also wore it out while catching up with the girls and the only fading that I noticed after lunch, hot chocolate and a few hours of gossiping was at the corners of my lips and towards to the inside of my lips. It's so wearable and when it comes to reapplying you don't need to be as precise as the first application.
Unfortunately I can't be sure how similar the Suede Cream Lipsticks are to the Kylie Lip Kits but at this price and quality I'm not bothered by the celebrity name attached. Apparently Sandstorm is a dupe for Dolce K so that might be the next shade I'll be picking up. Soft Spoken has been compared to the Kat Von D Lolita II Everlasting Liquid Lipstick so it's still a dupe success.Has anyone tried any of the lighter shades? I might be making hints to my boyfriend to buy me some for my birthday, he gave this one his seal of approval!
