Look Fantastic Best of British Box

I mentioned in my Look Fantastic haul that I'm not a beauty box regular but gave in to the August box. The box is embracing the Olympics and team Great Britain with a Best of British Theme. I was excited to see some home grown brands and try out some new products. I had my fingers crossed that the box would have some skin care goodies and that didn't disappoint. Unfortunately all the the products seemed to be sample sized or very small but there's lots of recognisable, quality brands.

I've tried a couple of Percy and Reed products before so it was a nice start to the box. This is a 30ml tube which is quite a good sized product but not strictly full sized. Wonder Balm is a cream/gel that promises moisture, shine, smoothness, definition, softness, humidity protection and manageability. Lots of promises like that makes me a little bit sceptical but ever hopeful. I've used it once so far in wet hair and my hair did feel a bit smoother and softer. I'm sure this won't go to waste.

REN is a brand that I've heard so much about but never used. Anti-pollution mist sounds good for someone that lives in the city but not something I would think of using living in the Highlands with the clear, fresh air. It's quite cooling and smells nice but I found it a bit heavier than expected. An invisible barrier against pollutants and ingredients to revive sounds like something worth trying.

So this is definitely a full sized product and I suppose a fail safe product at that. I've never heard of Bee Good before but I love the packaging and can't resist vanilla. I've only tried this a couple of times but it's left my lips feeling soft for hours, though slightly sticky at first. A good one for tackling dry, chapped lips - especially in the winter!

I've tried Balance Me before and wish I'd known about this one sooner. I love using serums before my moisturiser but this one is meant to tackle blemishes and breakouts without drying out your skin. This smells amazing and fingers crossed makes a difference after a while.
This was probably the product I was most excited for. I've not heard of RENU Skin but I've been wanting to try out an eye cream - better now than when it's too late. So far it's jumped right into my skincare routine and I've been enjoying using it. It's got Ancia which is meant to help with under eye circles and it's got dermal filling effects which is where the active lift comes into it. Thankfully I'm not necessarily filling lines but more preventing them.

Another spray for the face seems a little bit strange but this one appeals to me more. There's ingredients like Horsetail leaf(?!) and Gotu Cola Leaf Extracts which help to reduce fine lines and turn dull, tired skin into bright radiant skin. I've been using it in the morning after cleansing and my face feels more awake. Fingers crossed it'll help give me a healthy glow while I'm stressed about work.

If you fancy buying one of the August boxes you can here while they're still in stock. Or maybe one of the previous boxes take your fancy. There's no risk once you know the contents!

Did you get the #LFBestofBritish Box? What was your favourite product? Do you have any beauty box subscriptions?
