April Favourites

This month's favourites are a random combination of old and new products and a selection of beauty, fashion and lifestyle. I've had such a great month with lots of adventures, exercise and socialising - the holidays definitely helped! I'm looking forward to May, fingers crossed we can hold onto this sunny weather while I battled through the dreaded report cards and job applications. At least I've got a wedding dance and baby shower to take my mind off some of the work.

Tangle Teezer
This is an classic favourite for me. I've been using Tangle Teezers since 2010 which seems crazy and since then I've barely used any other hair brushes. I find my hair gets really knotted after a shower or if I'm out in the wind. The tangle teezer causes so much less breakage and stops the brushing process being so painful, long and difficult.

Contact Lenses
If you've seen some of my recent posts you might have noticed that I've not been wearing my glasses.  I love my glasses but I was starting to feel a bit irritated by having to wear them all the time and I quite like not having big dark frames on my face. I decided to try out contact lenses and I've been loving them! The first few days it was taking me nearly 15minutes to get them in and out but with a little help from Youtube I've become an expert. I've gone for the monthly option and I couldn't be happier.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation
This is a new favourite and one I only bought this month. When this foundation first came out I got a sample of it from Boots after one of the Lancome ladies did a demo for me. I'd been meaning to buy a full bottle as I really like it and knew what shade was perfect for me. The price put me off and then I completely forgot until I spotted it on Helen's blog sale. Thankfully Helen's got quite light skin like me so I snapped it up. Since it's arrived I've been using it every day. It's great for dry skin and feels lightweight all day. Blog sales are fab for discovering a new favourite - don't they say one man's trash is another man's treasure?

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
This isn't the first time I've featured this mascara on my blog. I reviewed it when it first came out and it was in my favourites last month. It's continued to be a favourite this month and I really like how it makes my lashes look. That's become even more important now without my glasses getting in the way.

Statement Necklaces
With lots of socialising, be it a night out with the girls, shopping with my boyfriend or a meal out with my family I've been loving putting on a statement necklace to feel instantly more dressed up or 'put together'. This one is from Primark so didn't cost much but it's really girly and summery with lots of lovely colours.

Polar FT 4 Heart Rate Monitor
Just yesterday I did a review of the Polar Ft4 watch so if you want to know the ins and outs of it you can check there, but basically I've found my new fitness motivator. I love being able to see some detailed, accurate feedback during and after a workout that makes the whole process feel that bit more worthwhile.

What have your favourites been last month?
What are you looking forward to in May?

  1. The necklace looks lovely! I really like statement necklaces but never got myself to buy one as I think that I'm only going to wear it once!
