Fitness Friday: Foodie Friday

Everyone knows you can't out-train a bad diet so with an increase in workouts I've been trying really had to choose healthier food options. I've been using My Fitness Pal to track what I've been eating and today I thought I'd share with you a fairly typical day.

7am Breakfast: Quaker Oats Golden Syrup Porridge with Unsweetened Almond Milk and chopped banana. I have this for breakfast everyday, without fail. This porridge is amazing and an added banana makes it filling for most of the morning.

10.30am Snack: 20 grapes and water
As playtime rolls round at work it's hard to avoid the huge stack of biscuits and cakes in the staff room but I find a couple of handfuls of grapes is enough to keep me going. This bottle of water from Pink at Victoria's Secret lasts me all day at work.

12.30pm Lunch: Chargrilled chicken, Spinach, Cucumber, Tomato, Red Onion and Tesco Healthy Living Honey and Mustard Dressing. This is another standard lunch for me. I make my lunches on a Sunday night and Wednesday night and this salad mixture is really easy to throw together. I don't like dry food and this dressing from the Healthy Living Range at Tesco is low calorie but still tastes good.

4pm Snack: Innocent Strawberries, Blackberries and Raspberries Smoothie for Kids. When I get home from work I'm ready for my dinner so need a snack to keep me going. These smoothies aren't cheap but taste delicious.

5.30pm Dinner: Homemade sesame chicken with salad and slice of tiger bread.
This is a pretty healthy dinner, and tastes delicious. Unfortunately it's not always easy to avoid oven chips in my house!
